Ashok

My mother tongue isn't the language spoken in the film, nor do i understand the language, but having just watched the non subtitled version of Ashok, i do understand visuals & emotions, & i gotta say, this is one cool, action packed film. Lots of slow-mo fights in the rain, big swords, one decapitation, one broken arm, lots of broken bones. For pure, unadulterated action, you can't go wrong with this film...for a meaningful story with drama, look elsewhere.... I'm just waiting for the subtitled DVD version to come out, so i can know why NTR is kicking the hell out of everyone. Also, for a lead actor so big, he can dance like someone half his weight, & with style.

This movie's story is not unique by any means, we have seen such films multiple times. Yet it works to some degree because of the emotional performances from the actors and stylish sequences designed by Surender Reddy. Surender Reddy did really well in directing the film and Jr NTR delivered a really good performance. Some of the scenes did not age well and quite a bit of the film feels familiar, but saved by performances and taking.

NTR is one of my favorite actor in Telugu film industry and I think he is one of the best-talented actors and I am a big fan of Telugu action masala film. Their hero's powerful introduction and super enjoyable action always fascinate me. I love their action, emotions and the way they execute both the emotions and the comedy. The thing which I enjoy most is the heroic entry of the main protagonist. the fight sequence and the punch dialogues are also very charming in Telugu cinema.

In this movie, NTR equally shines and he has done a very good job. No doubt he is the central character of this movie and all the other character around by him. The director chooses a very good story line. The story is a little bit choppy but as a masala film, it is an OK story. But NTRH is the heart of this movie and the story is totally concentrated only him. Another good point is Prakash Raj's acting. He is a very good actor and he has also done a wonderful job for the character of NTR'a father. Rest of the cast is OK and they have nothing to shout about. The dialogues and the music are very imposing and sometimes very intriguing.

If you are a masala movie fan and want to watch some good action sequences this movie is for you. Bonus achievement is NTR's sensible acting.

The film is extremely good with NTR outstanding performance. Not only that, Mani Sharma music and background score is a big hit and chartbuster. Even though there are some fights in the rain and violence scenes, it is also an action and emotional entertainer for NTR career. Overall, Ashok is definitely a must watch for NTR fans.

Ashok shall and will remain one of my favourite movies of NTR. As the movie has everything dance+fights+action+story+screenplay+good director+NTR=BLOCKBUSTER 💥
