The wait is almost over. With just one month until the premiere of Alice in Borderland Season 3, Netflix decided to unveil a new trailer for the new episodes of the Japanese series. Once again, the story will center around a group of people trying to survive deadly games — however, differently from Squid Game, there's no cash prize waiting for them at the finish line. Instead, they get to discover what the heck is going on and who put them in such a terrible place. The series returns on September 25.

The new trailer seems to confirm the information given at the end of Season 2 — that Arisu (Kento Yamazaki) was indeed able to escape Borderland.

Yen Press, LLC and Kodansha USA Publishing, LLC announced the respective acquisitions of the dual Clamp Official Art Books for release this November. The art books, named Kuro (which will be published by Yen Press) and Shiro (which will be published by Kodansha), were created as companions to the Clamp Exhibition that ran at The National Art Center in Tokyo, Japan, from July 2024 to September 2024 and feature the more than 200 original drawings displayed.

Shiro and Kuro showcase stunning art spanning a legendary career of more than 30 years. Each book contains elaborate full-color pieces from fan-favorite series from Clamp’s commercial debut, Rg Veda, as well as Tokyo Babylon, Cardcaptor Sakura, Tsubasa: Reservoir Chronicle, and many more. The Hunter x Hunter franchise is currently gearing up for the debut of its latest live-action production, Hunter x Hunter The Stage 3. To commemorate the event, the two previous entries in the Hunter x Hunter The Stage series will soon be available to stream on YouTube for a limited time.

As detailed on Gamer, Jump's official YouTube channel will add Hunter x Hunter The Stage and Hunter x Hunter The Stage 2 to its channel archive on March 29, (March 28 in North America). While this channel is typically intended for Japanese viewers, it is not region-locked. Therefore, international Hunter x Hunter fans will have a special opportunity to view two stage productions, neither of which have yet been performed outside Japan or are currently available to stream elsewhere in the U.S. Hunter x Hunter The Stage is slated to premiere at 12 p.m. (Jst). Its sequel will become available at 3 p.

Many think of manga as action-packed stories full of fighting. While this may be true for some series, there are many manga that prefer to let their words fight for them. Whether this is a murder mystery or a simple slice of life, sometimes talking is all these characters need to get their point across.

While they are best known for their more mainstream titles like Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, and the Tsubasa franchise, they have many other amazing series. One of the most cherished by fans is the supernatural manga known as xxxHOLIC.

This intriguing and entertaining series began publication back in 2003, quickly becoming one of Kodansha’s most popular titles and ending in 2011. Its sequel, xxxHOLIC Rei, was never finished, as it entered a hiatus in 2017. After 7 years without a chapter, fans of this beloved series can breathe easy, as it will continue its publication in April 2025.

The magic begins again this April—Clamp's xxxHOLiC Rei manga is officially coming off hiatus this spring! Launched in 2013, xxxHOLiC Rei is the latest in the art collective's xxxHOLiC series. The original manga ran from 2003-2011 (renamed to xxxHOLiC Rou in 2009), spanning 19 volumes. xxxHOLiC Rei began in 2013, and has been serialized irregularly since 2014. The last chapters were published in 2017. Since the series's debut, xxxHOLiC has been adapted into a novel, animated and live-action films, an anime series, a live-action film and a stage play. Clamp is a group of four manga artists who've created well-received works such as Cardcaptor Sakura, Chobits, and Magic Knight Rayearth. Since they began working together on their debut piece Rg Veda, their works have been adapted into various forms of anime, from short music videos to full-length series.

However, not all of Clamp's works have been adapted into anime. Of those that have, some never reached proper conclusions, had too much filler, or took a different route entirely from the manga. Clamp needs to adapt more of their works to spread their far-reaching fame, as well as remake some of their anime that fell short of their potential.

The official website of Kimi Ni Todoke announced on July 9, 2024, that the third season of the anime will release exclusively on Netflix from Aug 1, 2024.

The website also unveiled the second trailer for Kimi Ni Todoke season 3 previewing the new opening theme song “Et cetera,” performed by imase.

Enter the world of manga artist group Clamp this summer in Tokyo, as the National Art Center launches a massive exhibition celebrating their work and worldview. The event, which was officially announced earlier this month, is revealing more about what to expect in the lead-up to its debut. The exhibition was originally planned to have five sections, each addressing a different aspect of the artists' work: Color, Love, Adventure, Magic, and Phrase. Two new areas—Imagination and Dream—will round out the exhibition. Imagination will delve into the group's 35-year history, exploring media outside manga including books, magazines, and character art. And Dream will be the final area of the exhibition, featuring brand new full-color art by the group. Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You is returning for a third season on Netflix in August 2024. Original cast members will reprise their roles in the new season, set to hopefully wrap up the heartwarming romance story. Fondly remembered as a classic shojo anime from the 2000s alongside other beloved series like Fruits Basket and Ouran High School Host Club, Karuho Shiina's Kimi ni Todoke: From Me to You is a staple in the demographic and a franchise that many anime fans have cited as being one of the best shojo ever made.

For some reason, the future always seems to be a few decades away. 1984 was published in 1949. This week, one of the greatest anime series of all time will be revisited. On Tuesday, November 17th, Funimation is scheduled to release Evangelion 1.01. Subtitled “You Are (Not) Alone”, this new chapter marks a major reversioning for the Neon Genesis Evangelion franchise.

Eva has been getting reworked from the beginning. The ending for the original series drew a firestorm of controversy, with its lackluster production and anti-climactic conclusion. “Death and Rebirth” and “End of Evangelion”, two feature length films meant to provide a more satisfying resolution, did more to fan the flames than to quench them.

I won’t even try to hide my enthusiasm for this series. If you remember my column on collecting anime swag, you know I own two XXXHOLiC wall scrolls — one autographed by Colleen Clinkenbeard, the voice of Yuko herself, along with a clock (also autographed), and a Yuko lapel pin. I made my own Watanuki/Doumeki cosplay, and there is a stuffed black Mokona plush over the TV. In other words, I’m a fan, and so you can imagine my excitement when Funimation released the entire series of XXXHOLiC as a boxed set.

XXXHOLiC, (pronounced “Holic”; the x’s are silent), tells the story of a boy named Watanuki, who has the curse of being able to see spirits. Wherever he goes, they are drawn to him.
