A Change of Ties

"A Change of Ties" has a truthful title: Amazonian blonde Allison Brach ties up sub Carolyn Reese several times, before the fifth scene in which Carolyn reverses the procedure and ties Allison up. It's strictly mechanical, ho- hum, bondage display.

The impetus for such an exercise, mercifully running only 33 minutes, is still photography -growing up pornography for me was strictly about sexy dirty photos in magazines, and these odd fetish videos simply bring same to life. But nothing happens - we see Allison's technique of tying ropes around Reese's wrists and ankles at first and later on this action is dispensed with as we see her already all trussed up, hog-tied or hanging from the ceiling of a generic living room. Production values are nil.

The patter is self-reflexive and more "Inside Baseball" about bondage than of general interest. The girls comment on being tied up and Carolyn even describes how trying to struggle free of her bonds is part of the enjoyment. For the viewer, even the committed fetishist, watching this is just boring.

I have seen Allison as a superhero in her series of Spellbinder videos, but here she is merely a top-heavy model dressed in tight, binding leather garb, clearly attuned to dishing it out rather than taking it. DVD notes how Carolyn loves to be tied up but she emerges with zero personality, merely going topless (in peek-a-boo bra) for the fans delectation later in the video.

Authorship of this junker is in question due to sloppiness. On screen Chelsea Pfeiffer is listed as director with product ID as "C-45" but on the liner notes (and transcribed in IMDb listing, which I'm attempting to correct) the director is named as Matt Meyers. It might as well have been left blank.
