Forbidden Fruits

I don't understand why no one likes this movie. first, it shows that racism from all sides. and that when we are doing wrong we always find a way to justify it by standing on religion.

when slave holders where ask, via history books , they justified it by saying it was the way of their church! This movie is simply saying its not who you LOVE, its the LOVE its self.

It doesn't matter if you praise GOD, Jehovah, or whom ever. There are all GOD. and he was not picky when he created the Mother or Father of Human beings, he created Adam And Eve. who started all of us!

Second, it is showing that through faith and beliefs all things are possible. Finally, if you have true love, you have everything! If you have HATE, you have nothing but a dark lonely road......

This is a good movie. A real must see. I enjoyed the story line and the soundtrack is BANGIN'.The movie has a really good positive message. It teaches you to look beyond color and nationality and to accept people for who they are. This film needs to be overseas as well to show how people of different backgrounds can come together and get along. This would help the current race relations in the world. The director was very creative with this story...It's not your typical urban film. Great Job! the acting was okay for the unknown actors in this film. The well known actors all played their roles well. I would've like to have seen more love scenes in the movie between the main characters.This is a must have for your collection. Looking forward to this director's next film.

I was at the premier of this movie downtown Detroit and I thought the movie touched home from beginning to end. I read a negative comment from another native Detroiter and did not agree at all. I thought the picture quality was advanced and the direction was more professional than expected. I expected to see another low-budget film but was surprised to see how much the film had national theatrical quality. I could see this movie hitting big and making stars out of Detroit actors. There were also a lot of celebrities in this film. I particularly enjoyed Keith David and Deebo is always amusement. I thought Keith Sweat did a good job playing a gangster as well, which also caught me by surprise. This director really captured the real Detroit unlike 8 mile and made the city look good at the same time. I commend that. We need that!!!

Forbidden Fruits is a dynamic urban love story that reveals the interplay and complexities of cultural traditions, family values and personal beliefs. The film directly explores multicultural relationships, stereotypes and the human emotion - Love. Filmed in Detroit city Forbidden Fruits has unique and charismatic scenery.

I highly recommend this film because it encourages dialogue and discussion. Examining real life experiences of racial generalizations and preconceived notions Forbidden Fruits is highly dramatic and informative.

Purchase, A Must

This movie is a much purchase. This movie talks about issues that are tabu in our communities among blacks and Arabs such as interacial relationships. The movie should be watched in our homes in order to bring dialog to the things that are never thought of or mentioned, but does occur and is often wondered. I think this is an excellent movie. I love to see movies were racism is addressed. I really like how this movie touches issues on interracial couples and dating outside your religion. There are a few things I'll give to this movie. I thought it was on point when it showed males of color opining that they could date interracially, but not their sisters. Others said, "It's okay to do that, so long as it isn't one of my family members." There is also an emphasis on, "Be civil to them, but don't take them home!" These are all dynamics that are common in the US, for those who are honest enough to admit it. I think this movie is well worth the buy.
