Alien Autopsy

I for one, really enjoyed this film. The story is well written and keeps you interested throughout. Ant and Dec make you care about these characters, no matter how annoying they might seem. Sometimes the story seems to good be to good to be true for these guys, which can sometimes make it seem unbelievable. However, it explains the story of the apparent hoax well. For anyone who remembers watching Jonathon Frakes on the Sci-fi channel those years ago, its a could trip down memory lane. The movie doesn't try to convince you that a tape like this doesn't exist, which keeps people's faith in ET still as really as it was before you enter the cinema. All sci-fi fans should check this film out. Its worth watching because of the comic acting of our beloved Ant and Dec pair. Well done guys!

This film isn't bad, it's a good 6 out of 10. Ant and Dec's acting skills are, to be frank, not really up to much but the plot line is so outrageous that you end up ignoring the acting just to keep up with which country they are in and who they are talking to. It takes a while to relax into the 'flow' of the film, but when you do it becomes quite enjoyable. Characters like Voros (played by Götz Otto) will intrigue, interest and even slightly scare you. The actually autopsy scene is cleverly put together and 'snortingly-funny' as one of my friends put it. I think the fact that the film is based on a true story is the only reason the plot is accepted in your mind as you watch it.

And when the cast list rolls across the screen, you will (as the whole of our cinema did) sigh, stretch then snigger quietly to yourself as you remember the more... interesting... parts of the film.

It has to be said however that I won't be buying it on DVD, BUT it takes up two hours and allows you to relax.

OK maybe this film doesn't do that, and your probably reading the reviews of this film and thinking "this film looks rubbish". OK lets look at the facts, it's got Ant and Dec in it OK thats not that good, it's not funny, OK thats not good either but now lets look at the film from another angle.

The film is basically about the events of on May the 5th 1995 most people probably remember this as the day that man found out he was not alone in the universe, it tells the story of the two people that "found" the footage of the Alien Autopsy but the film says that it was all fake. The one thing that makes me mad about all the reviews is this people say the acting is "wooden" or it's "unfunny" well thats not the idea of the film...and people who say that are missing the point.

There are some funny parts to the film but it doesn't say "the no. 1 smash hit comedy of the year" because thats not what it's trying to be, it's meant to tell us the truth about what happened to two average blokes who tried to make some money. If you go into this film thinking it's going to be funny you wont like it....that i promise you, people say that the film went on for ages and ages...personally i was surprised it ended as quick as it did, at only 95 minutes it's not long enough, in my opinion.

I would tell you to go and see this film but most of you wont listen because people have dragged this film into the ground, the film does have more potential and yes it could have not been so normal in places but thats what the film is about two people trying to make some money.

It's just a normal film, but the cleaver thing that it does do is make you think, Was this actually real? or Was that the way that it happened? it tells you a story and you believe it but still question if it's true...and if anything it's worth seeing for that.

I have been puzzled as to all the bad reviews about this film. Whilst it will not be a contender for any of the film awards, it is still an entertaining film. The story follows two men who hoax an alien autopsy from actual footage that one of them has actually seen, it will become clearer in the actual movie. I do think the scenes where they are doing the autopsy are in fact quite funny and from watching it being filmed it is difficult to understand how anyone took it seriously. The performances in the film are of an acceptable standard, nothing special, the two leads have acted before in children's television series, but nothing to this extent. The only thing I will say is that I thought I was watching Ant and Dec not the two characters they were meant to be playing. I think that if you go in with an open mind and do not expect be challenged then I think that you will enjoy this film.

The unfolding story of a magnificent British hoax is told with enthusiasm and some welcome humor. Whether the alien autopsy film is part of a United States Government conspiracy, an outright fake, or something else, is explored in this cleverly scripted film. Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly, although unknown to me, were totally acceptable as the perpetrators of the "Alien Autopsy" hoax. Harry Dean Stanton as the original cameraman who supposedly was at Roswell in 1947 filming an actual alien being, is excellent. This hoaxed story of escalating proportions certainly set the U.F.O. world spinning, and I found it to be very entertaining from an American perspective. - MERK
