This is a pet peeve about the show; some parent/partner yelling at the staff to help the patient, accusing the Doctor of incompetence when answers aren't available yet, and just being royal pains in the fanny. Also, how many hospitals allow relatives etc, INTO the E. R. to hover all over the place, sometimes screaming at each other around the bed?
No hair coverings, no masks .... cheesy & unrealistic dialogue make for a train wreck of a series. Yet oddly (hence the generous rating of 5), it's easy to binge-watch.
When the mystery diagnosis eludes these paragons of the Hippocratic Oath, it's guaranteed a hot-headed control freak shows up to holler .... "Do something, Doctor!!"

This is kinda interesting because I am fascinated by things like this . My biggest problem with the reenactments is that there is no way that any hospital emergency room would ever let as many people into the treatment areas as they do . I only know of hospitals , even in rooms that have patients who are admitted , to having maybe a couple of family members allowed at a time , in contrast to this show which shows sometimes 6-8 visitors , maybe even more .
Not surprisingly , the medicines given are often inaccurate drugs and especially inaccurate doses .
The radiology departments seem to be available much quicker than a real one would .
Anyway , my real complaint is about the visitors and the other stuff mainly fillers because of minimum character requirements .

I really like this show. I definitely prefer this show over Grey's Anatomy, House M.D. or E.R. My only reason is this. It's real. Well, in a way. It's based on true incidences. That would be a better way to explain it. Anyways, this show is very intriguing, and inspirational. The stories are usually full of suspense and sorrow. They really make you think, if I was in that situation, how would I react? Or if I was that doctor, what would I have done? I have been moved by this show on may occasions. It is just amazing how a TV show can make you think. They touch your heart in a way that you will never think possible. Thats what I like about this show. It makes you think. I find no other show on TV does except this one.
Untold Stories of the ER is the best medical show to ever come out on TV. The stories are great, the suspense is great, and the acting is okay. Its not great, but it's satisfactory. I really enjoy watching this show. It has changed my views on the world of medicine, and and the people who work inside it. It has inspired me to become a doctor myself. I have seen for myself the rewards of saving lives and it has inspired me to become a life saver myself.
I very much urge you to watch this show. It is very enjoyable to watch and I guarantee you that you will be moved and inspired like I was.

This has got to be one of the most ridiculous how's that the idiots at TLC has produced. With the camera constantly moving and zooming in and out, the ridiculous acting, manufactured drama and inane story lines.
forgot actor sanjay madhav who also appears on this show. i have seen the episodes and they are really interesting, unique stories. it's hard to believe those things happen, but i guess a lot of odd things happen in the ER that the general public doesn't know about. many doctors are really tested in trying to uncover illnesses that are not obvious on first inspection. i hope there will be another season. most of the show involves re-enactments. they are pretty good. we also get the storytelling from the actual physicians that handled the ER cases. each episode features 3 separate stories so there is some variety that really keep the viewer interested. i thought that these stories might be bored, but the dramatizations helped keep the stories entertaining.
