Laguna Beach: The Real Orange County

I really enjoy this show. Not every TV show needs to be serious. What's wrong with a bit of a light, easy-going TV show? People who criticize it are just jealous because they were not born into rich families. What's wrong with having fun with life when you can? I particularly like Kristin Cavallari. People who call her a bitch are just jealous because they are not as good-looking and do not attract boys and are leading pretty loveless lives. What's wrong with being confident and happy when you're as beautiful as her? People who are truly down to earth, intelligent, and mature will not waste their lives criticizing other people--they can accept that there are many different kinds of people living different kinds of lives and every individual has the right to choose what they want in life whether they end up happy or not they will eventually learn anything they need to learn, and other people do not have the right to judge anyone.

Chances are such that no one will read this post given the number of happy reviews that precede mine. Regardless, I would just like to say that, in my honest opinion, this is by far the worst television show I have ever seen. It isn't the production, but the content that sickens me. As if reality television wasn't bad enough, we are given a show where kids bicker over prom and dates and sunshine and farts. What makes matters worse is that thousands/tens of thousands(choose quantity based on current week's ratings) of people actually care. Go out and live your lives instead of watching spoiled kids ruin their own.

I place this show in the same league of "The Andy Milonakis Show." The only positive comment I have is that I now know to stay away from Laguna Beach when I travel south.

Folks, for those of you who think that Laguna Beach is a true reality show, shame on you. Other reality shows keep their cast sequestered and secluded from everyone else. I mean, if they didn't, you would see idiots jumping out of the wood works, spoiling every scene, when someone recognizes a cast member and sees the gaggle of cameramen. And the logistics of shooting simultaneous, spontaneous conversations in two or three different cities would be astronomical and bust MTV's budget. As for the vapid characters and shallow plots, come on people, when we attended high school, it wasn't exactly Dawson's Creek. They talk about junk just like other kids in high school. They whine about who's dating who, drool over the people they wish they were hooking up with, and wonder why they haven't been invited to the latest party. While the cast isn't real, the subject matter is spot on.

This show is absolutely the best reality show on. Laguna Beach is about 8 High School students living in the real OC. Lauren (LC) has a crush on LONG TIME best friend Stephen. Who happens to be dating Kristin, who is the worst character on the show. Needless to say LC hates Kristin, Kristin hates LC. It's mutual. Stephen also says that while Kristin is a "good hookup" LC is more of a "girlfriend".

Then there is Morgan, Christina, Trey, and Talan. Morgan and Christina are best friends. Trey is Stephen's best friend and Talan is close with Kristin (They are both Juniors). This show is filled with drama while still keeping it real. It's a great show to watch definitely 10/10

Laguna Beach is probably one of the greatest shows on MTV. It follows the lives of high school students living in the picture-perfect town of Laguna Beach, California. The show is filled with cat-fights, hook-ups, and just plain backstabbing and even more! the 1st season was hosted by Lauren Conrad (a.k.a LC). 1st season was mainly about the love triangle between LC, Kristen and Stephen. With other characters like Morgan, Christina, Trey and Lo. 2nd season is hosted by Kristen, she is dealing with the return of LC and Stephen and her friend's Jessica's boyfriend problems with Jason. Laguna Beach is definitely a great guilty pleasure and i would recommend it 2 anybody who loves reality TV filled with drama!
