During voice-over sessions, Christopher Lloyd delivers his lines while gesturing wildly to get the correct delivery. Animators would often record Lloyd's sessions to get down the motions of the Hacker.
This is the third-longest PBS Kids series behind "Sesame Street" and "Arthur".
Delete, a henchman of the Hacker, has stated many times that he longs for a bunny called George. This is a reference to John Steinbeck's novel Of Mice and Men, where the character Lennie Small also wants a rabbit named George.
The Hacker's henchman Buzz was originally voiced in the series by veteran Canadian voice actor Len Carlson. When Carlson left halfway through Season 5 due to failing health, he was replaced in the role by Philip Williams, who finished recording and took over the role after Carlson's death in 2006. The episode EcoHaven Ooze (2006) was dedicated to him.
Although the first episode in the series is Lost My Marbles (2002), the true pilot episode for the series is The Poddleville Case (2002), as evidenced by the different animation style and character designs, along with Digit not making an appearance.
