Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2

Here are my hastily-prepared excuses:

I promised my daughter I'd baby-sit for her son from 11 AM to 4 PM. It was cool and overcast and rain was predicted. I didn't want to go to a park... and after lunch, when I mentioned "Superbabies," the deal was struck!

Background: My grandson fell in love with superheroes this year, and he has been alternately garbed as Spiderman and Superman, as well as a pirate complete with eye patch and skull-and-crossbones hat. His favorite possession is his plastic sword! Yesterday, going to the movie, he asked me if I could get him a parrot to sit on his shoulder!

He loved the movie and gave it two "thumbs up" (both his)! So, if you have an almost four-year-old, it might work for you. Otherwise, forget it. I paid $10.50 for both of us (one senior and one child) and slept through this movie.

OK, so the plot Is a little silly and the effects aren't exactly top- notch, but come on all you detractors - this movie Is aimed at 6-YEAR- OLDS, for goodness sake! It's meant to make the young ones laugh and the adults cringe In embarrassment! I find It rather sad that so many adults have so many bad things to say about a film so obviously not Intended for them! Why would a story about super-toddlers be aimed at a target audience above 13 anyway? This movie Is a laugh and a bit of imagination fun for the little-ones and It does It's job - the sets and effects are poor because they don't need to be any better and after all the whole thing Is pretty tongue-In-cheek! Super-hero kids take on the bad guys - what more can pre-teens ask for? The kids liked It and that's what counts!

I've heard a lot of fuss that this movie is "bad" and even "not good". I understand its not exactly "the godfather" or the original "baby geniuses", however I think that the cinematography and the acting prowess of John Voight set this film apart as one that all children should see. Beneath the plot lie morals and lessons that can apply to all. I don't want to give away any spoilers but it should be noted that the ending is not to be missed!

I bought the DVD to watch with my son not expecting much and I was blown away. The cinematography is such that it actually appears that the babies are talking! As if that were not enough, the special effects put you right in the action as if you were one of the baby geniuses fighting the evil forces of Kane (Voight)!

This is surely not to be missed and I expect we will be hearing more about this film when the Oscars roll around!

Normally, I believe in looking at all things in fairness-but this time, they've gone too far. This movie was ABSOULETY, Positively, TRULY, HORRIBLE! What causes someone to make such a horrible piece of film? Most of the "jokes" (if you can call them that) center on kiddie-friendly "farts, poop, and pee"-that's so funny I couldn't stop laughing-laughing at the thought of the money being lost! The plot centers on evil brainwashing on kids TV shows-I guess the writers decided that using this plot for the 5,000,000th time might work! And of course, the message is-"get out there and get active!" I DON'T NEED TO BE TOLD THAT! I WENT TO SEE THIS MOVIE TO KEEP FROM BEING ACTIVE! I GIVE THIS MOVIE NEGATIVE FOUR STARS!

I'll be honest, I've seen many, many movies in my life. But Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2 has got to be the best! Just when I thought the first one couldn't get any better, Bob Clark released this one! I admit, I cried a few times from the sheer suspense in this movie.

The plot is absolutely genius! Scientists wanting to understand baby talk? Who could've possibly come up with such magnitude of greatness? Oh yeah, my idol: Bob Clark. Despite his shitty movie "A Christmas Story", he has got to be the best director of our generation. Kubrick literally has nothing on him. The casting is also fantastic: The 3 Fitzgerald brothers returned, thankfully. Their schedules are busy with cinema opportunities, we all know, but I'm so thankful that they could return. Please, if you have any free time, watch this movie. It's literally the best creation on Planet Earth. I've never seen anything like this masterpiece. Please, do it for me. Watch this incredible, flawless film and quit wasting your time with "Pulp Fiction", and "Taxi Driver", and other junk movies.
