Junior Lima has publicly stated he dislikes this series and avoids watching its reruns on Rede Globo's cable TV channel Viva. Sandy is reportedly embarrassed of her younger appearance, voice and outfits.

Scenes set at the school's open lot were filmed on weekends at the actual school in Campinas, São Paulo, the birthplace of siblings Sandy and Junior in real life. The final season was filmed in Rio, at Rede Globo's PROJAC.

Sandy filmed both this series and Estrela-Guia (2001) between March and June 2001. Junior Lima guest starred for some episodes.

Sandy and Paulo Vilhena met on set and became a real-life couple which was strongly sensationalized by media. Sandy later dated violinist and singer Lucas Lima for a couple months, the reason he guest stars as an angel. Sandy and Lucas are now married with a son, Theo.

An episode focuses on the duo's split to their respective solo careers, and ends with them vowing to remain together forever in music. However, Sandy and Junior did their final tour and moved on to solo careers in 2007.
