What more can be said... When I watched it when I was a child, I thought that the ideology of this movie was the theme of separation, but when I grew up, I watched it then I did not understand how naively today's realities were processed. Is this what we call modern times now? ''What was love? It was effort..'' The background music is simply amazing. It still ringing in my ear.. Kadir Inanir's acting was one of the best of the period, but there is a truth about Türkan Soray. She is not called Sultan for nothing. Every time I watch her movies, I fall in love with those eyes once again. Acting is flowing from her stance. It really makes you fall in love. There is not much to say, everything is clear. Those who watch it know that, those who haven't watched thet should watch it too.

I'll go and wipe the tears from my eyes anyway..

I love this movie. it is one of my favorite movies. I watch it at least once a year, I love the story, the actors, the film music, everything. And even it hurts myself, I love the moral of the story. In my eyes, this film should be internationally known an recognized.

This is one of the best movies in Turkey. Even in Turkey this is so underrated. It deserves so much more. It has not that complex storyline but somehow it is amazingly effective. I don't know how they managed to make that. Of course acting carries the movie, the star Turkan Shoray is so beautiful and she carries the movie actually. But I don't think it's the only reason.

Yes... I almost forgot. I think I found what's the secret. The Scores that composed by Cahit Berkay. The scores are too great, It should be worldwide class scores. Scores also reflects the subject of the movie so good.

The main theme in the movie is "love needs struggle". It is a turning point in Turkish cinema and a sheer gem confirmed by many rewards at home and abroad; second best movie in 15th. It was composed by "Cahit Berkay" from the band Mogollar. Especially, the song "selvi boylum al yazmalim" is still unforgettable and considered as one of the most contemporary folk song in Turkey. In order to understand Turkish culture, humanity, sensitiveness and rural life style, "selvi boylum al yazmalim" is the best movie to give a chance. This is a story about love and faith. The author discusses the two comparable concepts based on the beautiful novel of Aytmatov.

One can say many things about the technical handling of the film. But besides, the story flows slightly and fetches the viewers eyes till the end. Questions appear on mind; What love means? What does faith mean? Can love keep a couple together? Did you ever fall in love? OK, then answer this; did you ever TRY?!?... A woman with a baby stands between a one who loved too much, and another who did try his best.
