फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
Maybe. This game has almost everything. Skyline battles from the Ninja Turtle games, giant boss monsters, and enough firepower to get Donald Rumsfeld drooling in his sleep. Not to mention it is so addictive and cool that even now, 11 years later, it surpasses most things made today. This game has BOTH style and substance.
Overall, one of the best SNES games ever made and a worthy successor to the original. Prepare to Kick-A!

Shooters aren't and have never been my thing, though I'm a hardcore gamer and will play pretty much anything shooters aren't the games I naturally choose.
After playing Probotector/Contra (1987) I found myself enjoying the franchise regardless due to it's great level design and fantastic gameplay.
When Contra III came out on the SNES I was immediately hooked, this is a game that was well ahead of it's time and it shone brightly.
The levels were all unique, no recycling of enemies like most games do. They were intricately designed and so fun to play, the soundtrack was the best I'd ever heard (Even though one level did rip off the Predator music).
With a mixture of weapons, great enemies, immense boss battles and such a memorable adventure this title has stood the test of time and remains one of the best titles of it's genre and arguably of any.
Though the franchise died a death a few years later this remains and is well worth your time.
The Good:
Looks great
Huge variety of content
Amazing boss battles
One of the best gaming soundtracks ever
The Bad:
The top down levels take some getting used to
Things I Learnt From This Game:
Even games outside your genre can grip you like you never expected
The creators of Predator (1987) aren't the suing types

Contra III has always been one of My favorite games of time as in My opinion I think its one of the greatest games ever created even to this day. The Contra series was always an explosive one with Contra 1 and 2 on the first Nintendo system but when Contra 3 came on board this just blew everything away! It was a mixture of the originals but it had it own arsenal as well. The game has such incredible music and sound that alone makes this a superb game but if that wasn't enough it has a great lot of weapons such as a laser gun that is very similar to Terminator 2: Judgment Day`s prologue. The aliens and monster bosses are large and tuff and the background of the levels look so real. The game has three difficulty levels that are easy, normal, and hard. Hard is very hard which near the end of the game there is huge surprise! In My opinion even with today`s games this is a classic game with great graphics, great action and gameplay and it keeps you coming for more! If you have a Super Nintendo system are find one a sale and are able to own this game pick it up immediately as you are about to play a piece of history! Contra III: The Alien Wars!
Note:
There is a very similar game on SEGA Genesis system called Contra: Hard Corps. It is a very good game it too is a classic!

Contra for the NES is considered a classic while the NES sequel Super Contra a lesser known game known more for brutal game play. This one marks the first Contra on the SNES...first and last as the sequel to this would be on the Sega Genesis. Hard Corps (Genesis sequel) is a faster game and the playable characters are a bit more detailed than the ones here. However, I enjoy this game more as it feels more like Contra than does that game. There was no spread gun in that one, at least Brownie didn't get one. Still, it was impressive in its own right, just needed more and less. This one though feels like Contra and plays like Contra and is a very impressive game that was an early release for the SNES.
The story is set in the year 2636 or something. A future where buildings are orange (at least in the intro) and an alien force makes its way to Earth to take over! It is up to two gentlemen to blast their way through the alien hordes and stop the aliens from taking over! In the Japanese version they were of course robots, but we made them humans. Which makes more since as I would like to think a robot could take more than one hit before dying! The closest you ever see what the original characters is when you play Hard Corps and select Brownie as your character as he is in his original form.
The game play is simple enough if you have played the previous Contra games. There are a couple of new wrinkles as they add the ability to dual wield weapons, and they also add a couple of new weapons this time around too. Whereas Super Contra added virtually nothing all that new as far as weapons. Here along with the spread gun is a gun that shoots homing missiles and when you have both of these you are doing pretty good! They also have a nice little bomb that can clear the screen or do major damage to bosses! The levels vary a bit too as you have your standard left to right side scrolling level, a top view where you must navigate a map, a stage where you are on a motorcycle type vehicle and stages where you also go up and down.
So this Contra is my personal favorite. It is not as difficult as the other Contra games on the NES or the one for the Genesis. The music really gets you going as the music to stage three is completely epic. I have yet to play the Contra for the Playstation, and I am not really sure if there are any more games for any of the systems, but I will try to get around to any more so I can review them all! Fun game and one of the best early games for the SNES.

In the days of the Super Nintendo Entertainment System reining supreme in the early to mid 1990s it had many spectacular games but one that has always had Me playing all the time was one created by Konami called Contra III: The Alien Wars! Sure, this review may cover some game that was made years ago but in My opinion is a classic and is one of the greatest games of all time! I hope you enjoy this review!
My Take: Playing the first Contra games for the NES (Contra and Super C AKA Contra 2) they are action packed and fun to play but in My opinion they never had the epic feeling Contra III: The Alien Wars has. With today's games the graphics and game play are arguably much better than on the Super Nintendo and even though this game came out about twelve years ago I feel that this just can't be defeated! Whenever I play this game I can't help but feel that this game is still legit and that the game is still near the top like it was back in the day!
The Story: The time is February 14, 2636. Red Falcon has returned and has caused the world to be one giant junkyard! The power from this alien monstrosity is unlike any that the world has ever seen! Is there anything or anyone that can stop this force? The answer is yes! The help will come from Jimbo and Sully, the descendants of commando heroes Scorpion and Mad Dog who were in the previous wars! They are equipped with heavy duty fire power but hey their`re gonna need all they can get because its just not Red Falcon they must destroy but also many other unfriendly foes including the huge Beast Kimkoh, the Para-Slug, and the Vicious Slave Hawk! Will these armed muscular men destroy these alien forces and save the world or will Red Falcon conquer the planet and rule the universe?
Game Play: The game play is flawless in My opinion. The controls are very easy to learn. There are two kinds of playing methods depending on the level. Most levels are the normal side view but a couple stages are platform. It has a cool feature that you can use two guns at the same time while jumping!
Graphics: The graphics are awesome! Sure its 16-Bit but it still looks great! For example, Stage one's buildings in the background look so real. I just love the factory and the smoke that comes out of the smoke stacks in level three. The fire, the explosions, the enemies are very neat which even to this day I can't believe how real they look!
Difficulty: The game has three difficulty levels, Easy, Normal, and Hard. The easy level is good especially for novice players. Normal is a decent difficulty setting and gives the player a good challenge. The hard level is great for players who want an extremely difficult game!
Music: I have always adored the music in Contra 3. It is so epic especially the music in stage six and in My opinion the whole score could have been in an epic movie! Its that good!
Sound: The sound is loud, clear, and explosive! It is awesome how some explosions happen as it sounds like the speakers are ready to shatter which is a cool effect!
Overall: I have always had a great time playing Contra III: The Alien Wars and I never get tired of beating it! Its exciting and wonderful to look at too! It has a great story, the enemies are tremendous, the music is outstanding, and its just plain fun! I think anyone who likes aliens, constant action, and great music in a video game would love to play and own this game! It has just about everything a gamer would want! I hope you have enjoyed My review of Contra III: The Alien Wars!
