Madhu is totally frustrated with women and more with city bred women. He lives in a coastal town and is basically a loner. He was lured by a glam town girl and just as they consumate their relation, she returns back home . When he goes to find her, she refuses to acknowledge their love as she is getting married to a rich man. Her brothers thrash him and he returns back dejected.
Srividya comes to the coastal town . She has her own baggage .She was in love with a poor man and as this union was rejected by her parents, they decided to elope . Sadly, he dies in an accident on the way. Trying to escape her destiny she tries to start a fresh life in this coastal town. Madhu and herself grow close as its a small town . A lot of misunderstandings occur and Madhu is blamed ( including a molestation and murder ) for no fault of his by his opponents . In the end all are cleared and both are united happily . A simple family movie of its times. Srividya as usual is beautiful to look at in simple sarees .
