El chanfle

One could have expected that Roberto Gómez Bolaños' achievements in `El Chavo' and `El Chapulín Colorado' would be continued in this movie; but this time, he managed to create rather a different but ordinary character: a poor class man who is a passionate fan of the local soccer team, that happens to be someone nobody cares about, but at least his own big dreams keep him on the track. in others words, yet another `mexicano soñador' (Mexican dreamer) kind of guy. The plot is very silly, and the routines a la `Blake Edwards' are overexploited. `El Chanfle' lacks originality and is very boring. It clearly looks it is a low-budget movie, but I think this is not an excuse for being so bad.

For those who are fans of the great Chespirito, it is great to see a film that reunites the cast of Chaves and Chapolin. The problem is that the film has not aged well.

Here Roberto Bolãnos plays El Chanfle, the ball boy of Mexico's football club America, who faces problems with money and has to deal with his wife's pregnancy.

This is a Latin American story, so I don't think it will appeal to people in other parts of the world.

The cast is the same as in the Chaves and Chapolim series, and the actors are brilliant as always. Still, some are used poorly, for example, María Antonieta de las Nieves, who appears very little. The highlight goes to the drunk played by Raúl Padilla and Angelines Fernández, who plays his wife.

In the '70s, the kind of humor used in this film may have been funny, but it doesn't work for today's audience. The situations are stretched out for too long, and some jokes are repeated. For example, the first time El Chanfle accidentally destroys his boss's office (Rubén Aguirre), it was funny. It was no longer funny by the third time.

I would recommend it for Roberto Bolãnos fans, but not for the general public.

The movie is not bad, but I did not really care about it. Until the script is good, even though it's less interesting. You know, it was kind of monotonous all the part of the film, because, I think it does not have those classic jokes of Roberto Gómez Bolaños. The story is more or less different from the other works that Roberto did, but, it's a bit generic. Well, I appreciate all the work they did, the movie is not bad, it's cool, with the classic Chesperito actors with a beautiful story and deserves to be well received here in Brazil and in the world.

This Movie was one of the worst movies I ever saw in my life. All he wanted to do is dah dream with florinda meza. Other than that, the comedy was bad. The acting was bad, the comedy, was BAD! Unfortunately, I can't never get my time back. Just a waste of time. La florinda Meza, alucinando ser Mama, y devRoberto Gomez.
