What A Unfunny Short Film

They should call it Mutual Crap Love Life. What joke this short film is they only made this stupid movie for making the guy who stupid girlfriend going to break up with him the bad guy. And made that slut of a girlfriend the good guy. If I was the one who had a chance to redo this film I would made it a whole lot better by turning back the clock so the guy write down on the paper. For being a TV show like the first person who comment I don't think it wouldn't last long on TV.

Very Funny

This is a very funny film. Like many shorts, it's more of an extended joke than a movie. But it really works. The concept of romance insurance is pretty funny to begin with, but to take it to such extremes especially with the smarmy salesman who is all smiles at first makes me laugh just thinking about it. It's been six years since I last saw this film, but I still chuckle thinking about it.

The punchline is a little predictable, but this is a much more clever film than many full-length comedies made today.

Robert Peters is especially good as the salesman. He does a lot of one-line roles in movies, and has made some pretty good beer commercials too.

Film Making at it's best!

I recently viewed this film on atomfilms.com and was thoroughly impressed. The extremely high production values of this film are noticeable in the acting performances, cinematography, direction, and the script was genius too! I especially loved the performance from the actor playing Phil Shucky, he was believable and even had me sold. This is completely different from most of the short films on atomfilms.com, most of those are shot on dv, this one was definitely shot on film. The audio was crisp and clean, as was the picture quality, on the internet this is especially good. I love the song that was remastered for the opening of the film. An all around great movie!

Absolutely brilliant

There's a reason this film won so many awards. Very clever, and absolutely hilarious! I ran across this on atomfilms several years ago. Sadly, it can no longer be found there. Try to find this film, it's definitely worth a few minutes of searching. It will remind you of something that could have been written for Seinfeld. Every line of it is dripping with wry humor, and the actors really fed on the humor to make it come alive. We've all been through breakups, and once you hear the benefits of having relationship insurance, you'll wish you had had it. The sad thing is that relationship insurance sounds like a really good idea!

Mutual Love Life

If anything, my husband and I thought this movie was funny because of the facial expressions of Matt McCoy. We saw this clip at a AFS filming in Colorado Springs and thought it was hilarious. Because it is so popular in our group, we play it in the introduction every week. I am sure it will return in every romantic group of films we see each month. I first saw Matt McCoy when he played a part in the Nanny years ago. He played a funeral director whose real aspirations was to become a clown. To the Nanny's chagrin, it was her that gave him the encouragement to follow his dream. He was funny then and he remains the same now. Keep it up Matt!!
