ClayFighter 63 1/3

This is possibly the most underrated game ever made. This game is a gem. with witty one liners that you will be laughing at. sure, the graphics aren't great, but who cares? this is a very very funny game, where else can you play as a blob or a snowman? We love you Interplay!!!!

This game is absolutely terrific. I love the Blob (a doofus), Houngan (a witch doctor who flings a rubber chicken & says "Cluck You!"), Kung Pow (a Chinese restaurateur) and Taffy (a candy clayfighter with a Daffy Duck attitude). And Interplay always hits the sound mark with crazy music & miscellaneous cartoon voice-overs (e.g. Frank Welker). Interplay and Danger do not fail to please with this wacky, simplistic, fighting-lampoon game. A HUGE clayriffic thumbs-up!!!

The only reason I ever tried this was because Earthworm Jim was playable. It took only a half-hour for me to get bored and stop playing.

The graphics were rather poor. The twelve characters all had ugly looking and outdated 2D sprite models, and they still moved in claymation styled animation that looked totally out of place on the N64. Some of the characters presented really racist stereotypes too. The stages looked just as out of date with their simple and boring looking designs with grainy textures and dull colors, even though they had dynamic stages where the fighters could move in a 360 degree plane. This would have been better suited for an arcade or very early N64 release at least two years prior.

The controls tended to be clumsy and unresponsive so, more often than not, you'd have to rely on just button mashing to beat your opponent.

There was a total lack of multiplayer and only one fighting mode, despite being released in 1999.

The music had a quirky and cartoonish feel to it, although the sound effects included similary wacky slap-stick noises.

The games main highlight was its first-rate voice cast, even though the lines sounded poorly recorded. Dan Castellaneta reprised his role for Earthworm Jim. Frank Welker, Charlie Adler, Rob Paulsen, and others were present. The characters made cheesy but enjoyable jokes and their lines were worth a laugh.

You could say this game is so bad, it's good. And I'd agree it is. But just barely. Otherwise, it'd only interest fans of the past games or bored gamers with nothing better to play.

Without a shadow of a doubt this has to be the singulary worst video game (if you can call it even that) mankind has had to suffer since the death of jesus christ. jesus christ what a bad game, if you can ignore the awful music, voice-overs, graphics, gameplay, characters and the game itself it happens to be pretty decent... TO A BLOODY MICROBE! I, myself, completed it in less than,get this; five minutes. An awful exscuse for a game.

Infintitly forever not good

I like the entire series of these games but this is the best entry. With returning favorites such as Bad Mr. Frosty, Blob, and Taffy it introduces an undeniable video game legend into the roster: Earth Worm Jim. The voice overs are hilarious and the music is pretty decent. The characters are sculpted well (it is real clay) but it might have been better if the backgrounds had some sort of clay texture instead of regular 3d. The goal this game is trying to achieve is to just get a laugh. It's not on par with Mortal Kombat or Killer Instinct as far as graphics and fighting moves go but I would much rather see these characters fight on top of a giant toilet (that is a level). Every special move is unique to the character, random stuff comes flying out of a character when hes hit, and Earth Worm Jim pulls it all together with his cameo. I suggest picking up this game if you liked the previous ones in the series or if you like it when that guy in MK3 yells "toasty".
