...and adults alike. Ok, I'll admit it: I watch Zoboomafoo! And I'm not ashamed of it. =) I stumbled across this show one afternoon when Montel was a repeat, and Rosie was a repeat and there was nothing else on. It's great! It's like "The Crocodile Hunter" for children. Lots of animals, goofy brothers who host the show, and a talking leemur as the mascot! Who wouldn't love this show? This one ranks right up there with "Sesame Street" and "The Muppets" from back in my day. (I'm only 18, but that's over-the-hill these days.) I highly recommed this show to everyone.
This series is excellent and stands out in children's (and adults!) entertainment. It is educational with joyful and playful abandon. I highly recommend it for all ages but especially if you are looking for great role models and riveting entertainment for your children. My 5 year old has been watching the DVD's since he was 2 and he still bounces around the room like a kangaroo while he watches these favorites! We have to get these wonderful Canadian(?) DVD's posted to us here in Australia and eagerly anticipate each new release. If you are a parent in North America count yourself very fortunate to have such easy access to these fabulous productions. I highly recommend every DVD produced to date by "Zoboomafoo". Enjoy!
As someone recently watching Zoboomafoo, I would like to share my thoughts on the show. One of the best things about the show is how it teaches children about animals and their habitats fun and engagingly. The characters on the show are pretty lovable, and using a real lemur as the main character adds a unique touch to the show. The show's focus on conservation and the environment is commendable as well.
However, there were a few areas of improvement. The show can sometimes feel repetitive, with similar themes and topics explored in different episodes. Additionally, some of the jokes and humor used on the show may be less entertaining for older viewers, although they are sure to delight younger audiences. Despite these minor flaws, I would still recommend Zoboomafoo to parents looking for an educational show their children will enjoy. The engaging and informative content of the show makes it an excellent option for kids interested in nature and animals.

Oh gosh, I remember this show...I was just thinking about it the other day and now I'm coming across it here. Never made a mental note of the title because I rarely caught it for some reason but when I did I liked it.
I thought this was a pretty swell piece of edutainment. I still remember a lot of the animal trivia they taught us with its 3 charismatic but playful hosts (two humans and a surprisingly convincing lemur puppet).
They break up the live action parts with a stop-motion section about the puppet so the episode has variety.
I haven't seen this for over 10 years but if you want something animal related and informative you can watch with your smaller ones then this one would not be too excruciating. In fact, it's very charming.

Although I preferred the clay-mation-less version "Kratt's Creatures", I still love watching this show. Perhaps it's because of the slight crushes I have on the Kratt's brothers, or maybe because of my love for animals, but either way, I get the best of both worlds on this show. I really wish the clay-mations would go though -- that's when I really feel like I'm watching a kids' show, and I kinda don't like being reminded. I still learn things about animals I never knew before, as would most adults watching, so if the cartoons weren't there, it'd probably have a wider audience..... those are just my two cents <:) I especially love the interaction between the brothers and the animals..... it's then that you really can see their passion for nature's creatures.
