The Evil Within

I don't know what to say here to describe how awful this film is. It is lower than awful. There needs to be a new word in the dictionary to describe how terrible it is. The people who say this is good are most likely involved in the movie in some way. Notice how the guy who liked it also gave 10 stars to another Mazzota bomb. Oh yeah, and he "happens" to be from the same area of NJ where Mazzota lives.

The movie opens with a five minute commercial for Tony Luke's cheese steaks, which (i'm guessing) was probably a major investor in this garbage. As further evidence that this may be the case, Tony Luke himself appears in the film, chopping and cooking his savory delights in his Philadelphia restaurant. The shots of him cooking are the high points of this movie.

A low budget super-natural thriller. Kind of a cross between Halloween and the X-files in a house. Definitely watchable.

I can't stress how disappointed I was that I couldn't enter a vote of zero when rating this movie. It was the worst movie I have ever seen, and the directing and acting, especially that of Sal Mazzotta, was terrible. I wish I would warn everyone not to see it. But being as I'm probably one of the only people who ever will, it doesn't matter anyway.

Starting out a little slow, "The Evil Within" is a low-budget horror film that started to pick up about halfway through and turned into a decent thriller which was quite a flop when first released (it was one of the few films Sal Mazotta not only starred in, but produced also produced) and was never seen by that many people. This is a classic horror film. Sal Mazotta's Finest! The scariest moment has to be Sal Mazzotta looking through the door in the classic horror scene. The camera, music, acting, and scares are appropriate for this kind of film! I highly recommend this movie to: Horror fans, Mazzotta fans, psychological thriller fans, and even low-budget fans. You will like this movie to death! If you like low-budget thrillers, track it down.

On the recommendation of a friend, I checked out this movie. I was pleasantly surprised, it's a very well put together independent film. I have no idea where the comments of the film being "terrible" came from. It honestly sounds a bit like a personal attack on Mr. Mazzotta.

If you're into suspense/thriller type movies, it is definitely worth checking out.
