Fantastic!!!!! One of the best animation series ever and one of the best productions of the 80's, the soundtrack was incredible, the animation fabulous, the characters incredible, everything was good. An innocent and nostalgic piece of childhood in a TV series.

This is a cartoon TV series from Disney, based on the 22nd full-length animated feature film. It continues the many adventures of the lovable bear Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends Piglet, Rabbit, Tigger, Kanga, Roo, Eeyore, Owl and Christopher Robin - all characters based on novelist A.A. Milne's books.

The episodes take you into the carefree and animated world of the Hundred Acre Wood, where Winnie-the-Pooh and his friends live, each portrayed as having a unique and memorable personality including the depressed Eeyore, the annoyed and garden-loving Rabbit, the wise Owl, the gentle and concerned Piglet, the hilarious Gopher, the protective Kanga, the inquisitive Roo, and the hyperactive Tigger.

Each episode is full of adventures, light-hearted humor and beautifully depicted messages of friendship - all set behind an innocent, carefree, and peaceful woods. You get to see the characters solve the problems of the day in their whimsical and thoughtful ways.

The heartwarming stories are heartfelt and are great for the entire family, leaving unforgettable childhood memories.

A Childhood Favourite!

I used to watch this on video and on T.V when I was little. I loved the series and generally liked Winnie the Pooh. My mum is also a Winnie the Pooh fan and to come the fact the nation of the United Kingdom is too, because he is so mainly advertised over here. He must the national cartoon of Britain of something, like Asterix is in France and Mickey Mouse is in the United States. The series I like because of it's catchy music, great stories and fine animation. I used to rush home and watch a episode! My parents taped on episode off the T.V back in around 1994! It just saddens me that all the great cartoons from my childhood and one or two decades before have been cancelled for all these new and lame cartoons. Anywhy, I loved the series when I was 5 and I still look back on it with good memories. If you see this anywhere around floating in a backstreet channel on cable or something, watch it! Because I think it certainly deserves to be brought back to terrestrial television! 8/10

How I miss my childhood

This show was amazing! Like everyone has said already, this was also part of my childhood. Back in the '90s where good quality shows and animated films were being made. How I miss those times. I seriously hate how overlooked The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is, it is miles better than pretty much every show airing now on Saturday mornings. Where are shows like this, Darkwing Duck, Talespin and Peter Pan and the Pirates? Bring these shows back, and give them the praise they deserve. I also grew up with The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, that was immensely charming and delightful, and one of the better Disney films of the '70s. As I've said, I loved this show, and after revisiting it on my old videos, I still do. The animation is fantastic, the theme tune is great, the voices especially Paul Winchell as Tigger are perfect and the stories are fun. Plus the humour is very well done(the Paw and Order episode is still absolutely hilarious), Tigger and Pooh getting the best of it, and there are some really touching moments like Piglet wanting to be taller, Piglet's loneliness in running away as a consequence after it doesn't work out made me cry when I was little. Not to mention some scary ones such as the whole under-the-bed episode. All in all, very overlooked and a firm childhood favourite. To be enjoyed for years to come, and kids will absolutely love it! 10/10 Bethany Cox

The Best Cartoon Series Disney ever made!!!!

This cartoon show is a wonderful made show. It features the mis-adventures of AA Milne's lovable hunny of a bear. Everyone is there: Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, Eeyore, Piglet, Rabbit, Owl, Roo, and, of course, Christopher Robin. All the episodes are great. ABC should not have stopped airing new episodes of this cartoon. It left the air during the 1992-1993 season, but it returned in 1997 as part of ABC's "Disney's One Saturday Morning" lineup.

Wonderful!!!

I'm 16 years old, and I enjoy this show as much as I do now as I did over 10 years ago. As a toddler, my family recorded episodes of this show. I loved watching it then. After that, for about 9 years, I kind of forgot about it, but when my youngest sister reached toddler age, my parents took out the old tapes of this, and boom! I was hooked again.

Another reason I enjoy this show so much is because it helped me go through some of the more turbulent times in my life. You can say the witty dialogue and such helped calm me down.

Not only is it entertaining, but it also teaches kids important lessons on life with classic yet flawed characters. For example, Piglet is very intelligent and possesses a kind heart, yet he is paranoid and cowardly. His friend Pooh is a bit braver and almost as nice, yet he's a little...empty in the head. And the list goes on.

This is a great show that helps young kids, and even older ones get through life.

Definitely my favorite show as a kid... and one of my favorites to this day!

I am 20 years old and if this show came to DVD, I'd buy it in an instant! This show is perfect for all ages. It has adorable songs, short episodes for the child with a short attention span (like me), and some very witty writing. As a matter of fact, more effort was put into this wonderful and underrated classic than in most kids' shows today, I think. And that effort shows. It NEVER resorts to crude humor or stupid, intelligence insulting dialog. It does, however, get pretty weird a few times, but even those episodes remain to be adorable and a lot of fun. I recommend that you switch off Cartoon Network and show your kids this. It's more enjoyable, more cleverly written, and I daresay you'll have a good time watching it. And I bet the animals at the Hundred Acre Woods will have a thing to teach you about sitting back and enjoying the little things in life, like friendship and a good snack.

And Disney, if you're reading this, please release this wonderful show on DVD. I can guarantee that a lot of people will buy it, me included!!!

The "New" Adventures of Winnie the Pooh

One of my childhood favorites this is definitely one of the best cartoons out there for young kids. To bad they show it on so early though. This is one of those cartoons I don't mind watching with my little brother, sometimes, I admit, I like to watch the show, I'm not obsessed though. But it's sooo CUTE! Everything on this show is well-made the episodes are very unique and original, they don't start shouting at you to say jump *cough*dora*cough, and all the characters are lovable, even rabbit. This show is definitely worth your kids time, and most of them have very good morals to teach young ones. I wish there were More kid shows like this. (Obviously this isn't the "new" adventures sine there like almost 20 years old!).

"Gotta get up, gotta get going..."

"...I'm gonna see a friend of mine..."

Oh. Sorry. I love those songs! Now, Disney's 1988 cartoon series "The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" was based on the 1977 film with a similar name. Here, Pooh and Friends finally have a series of their own. This is probably the friendliest of all the Disney TV cartoons, and all the episodes are just right for all ages!!!!!

This ran on ABC and Disney Channel for several years (and Disney Channel, though it's now STUPID, still shows this at 4:30 A.M.!!!!!) and it reran over and over and... Anyhow, I was lucky enough to see this play very early in the morning on Disney, as I just mentioned. Just so you know because this, Buzz Lightyear, and Timon and Pumbaa (played at near noon) are the only GOOD things that you will ever see on Disney as of now.

"Winnie the Pooh" is a favorite for all ages. I highly agree!!!!!

Great Show For Children!

I have all of The New Adventures Of Winnie The Pooh episodes on VHS tape. They are very good for children of all ages. Its also a nice show to watch with your kids if your an adult with kids because even as an adult who had even grown up with Winnie the Pooh it still entertains you. I love the stories. There like any other sitcom. You can try to figure out whats going to happen to Piglet or something. There not like those new garbage Nickalodean cartoons like Spongebob or Jimmy Neutron, they are entertaining. I also like the background music they have for the show. I don't know what it is, I just like it. My favorite character is Rabbit. His relationship with Tigger reminds me of Ralph's relationship with Norton on The Honeymooners. Very goofy and you just want to see that scene where Rabbit gets mad at Tigger. This the best of Winnie and the whole gang. Buy the tapes for your kids.

A Masterpiece that should be Looked to for Modern Children's Television

This series is by far and away a genuine masterpiece. Everything from presentation, to style, to imagination should be looked upon for reference by modern children's show makers. The level of creativity that this show put forth is nothing short of masterful. It told fantastic stories without ever talking down to the audience. The best part is that it's so well made that even the parents can watch this and be genuinely entertained. If you want to see what actual quality looks like that goes above and beyond any call to make a children's show, look to this. It's nothing short of superb.

A show that is so simple, but is able to somehow grab your hearts in the right way.

So many different unique episodes and so many ways to think about this show. I feel the voice work, theme song, characters, and even new characters are pretty memorable. I feel even the filler episodes you can still get something out of them. There's action episodes, layback episodes, life lesson episodes, and great atmosphere episodes. Overall, it's a children's show that I wasn't the least bit ashamed of watching as an older guy. I feel it was even better than what I remembered as a kid.

Gotta Get Up, I've Gotta Get Going, I'm Gonna See a Friend of Mine

Winnie the Pooh and the Sesame Street gang have been there for me since birth, or at least very early in my life. This is easy to remember, especially since the characters from both franchises commonly appear on baby products. I'm still a big fan of them to this day, especially Winnie the Pooh. I love Pooh just as much as I did when I was a baby, which doesn't surprise me at all because a franchise you've loved since birth can be hard to hate, and it's perfect for all ages. The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh has adorable songs, slow-paced storytelling, and very witty writing. It is much better than the garbage that's on TV today (e.g., Teen Titans Go)! I have everything Pooh-related (I do have a lot of Pooh merch, but not every one of them in existence. It feels like it, though): numerous plush toys, action figures, DVDs, VHS tapes, Halloween and Christmas decorations, books, clothing, a piano, a couple of pillows and blankets, and a few other items. I've also done numerous drawings of the characters. I can never get enough of this silly old bear and his associates, as Christopher Robin would say.

One of the most enchanting aspects of The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is its imaginative nature, beautifully capturing the essence of childhood play. The idea that Christopher Robin's stuffed animals are alive and embark on adventures together captures the boundless creativity of a child's imagination. This concept transports me back to my own childhood, where make-believe knew no bounds, reminding me that the spirit of wonder can thrive no matter how old I become.

In several episodes, everyday scenarios are given a playful twist. For instance, in one memorable episode, a wishing star unexpectedly disappears, leading Pooh to grant his friends' wishes in delightfully unique ways. He feeds vegetable-shaped balloons to a swarm of bugs to keep them from munching on Rabbit's vegetables and pretends to be a Tigger clone and a snowman. The show injects humor and creativity into common situations. Another episode playfully reimagines the classic tale of The Three Little Pigs, adding its own unique twists, such as one pig living in a house of cards, and the Big Bad Wolf being comically replaced by a Big Bad Bunny. These quirks not only bring laughter but also celebrate the limitless nature of imagination, reminding us all of the joy found in playful storytelling.

This is the best Pooh show, mainly because it's the one that's the most faithful to the movies. It has a similar animation style and is the only Pooh show that is 2D animated. Like the movies, several of the stories are simple and focus on everyday situations, such as the gang trying to cheer up Eeyore and Christopher Robin babysitting the neighbors' dog with the help of his stuffed animals. Unlike the first Pooh show, Welcome to Pooh Corner, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh is mostly entertainment-based rather than educational, and the episodes' plots are more character-focused, highlighting the unique personalities of each character. The characters remain entirely faithful to their original forms.

All your favorite characters from the movies are back, and they each have their own unique and memorable personalities: Tigger is bouncy, cheerful, and goofy; Piglet is timid yet so kind at heart; Rabbit is short-tempered, organized, practical, and always tries to keep his friends on their toes; Eeyore is depressed and gloomy; Owl is wise; Kanga is kind and motherly; Roo is inquisitive; Gopher is hard-working, busy, short-tempered, and obsessed with dynamite; Christopher Robin is the child with a big imagination who's the voice of reason and somewhat of a father figure to his stuffed animals; and of course, Pooh Bear is the calm and cheerful bear of very little brain and a pure heart, who is obsessed with honey and doesn't seem to ever get angry.

This is the only series where Christopher Robin is an important character. He's a minor character in My Friends Tigger and Pooh and The Book of Pooh, but he doesn't appear in Welcome to Pooh Corner, Playdate with Winnie the Pooh, or Me and Winnie the Pooh at all. He is mentioned in one episode of WTPC, however.

Some new characters are present, including Stan Woozle, Heff Heffalump, Kessie the Bird, Mama, Papa, and Junior Heffalump, Christopher Robin's mother, and more.

The Pooh universe has expanded here. Not only are there more characters, but there are a couple of episodes where the characters go on adventures outside the Hundred Acre Wood. New locations found in the real world are now present in the Hundred Acre Wood, such as a pizza place, a grocery store, a movie theater, and a few others. This expansion makes the Hundred Acre Wood feel slightly like part of our world. It also provides the characters with more activities to engage in and reveals where Pooh and his friends shop and spend their time, other than in their forest.

Another aspect I admire most about the show is its soft-spoken and laid-back atmosphere. The gentle pace of each episode creates a soothing experience that feels both inviting and comforting. Pooh's calm demeanor is truly remarkable; he approaches every situation with a sense of tranquility and understanding that I find incredibly refreshing. His ability to remain calm and never get angry, no matter the chaos around him, serves as a wonderful reminder of the importance of patience and kindness. It's inspiring to see how he handles conflicts with a lighthearted touch, always prioritizing friendship and understanding over frustration. This peaceful vibe resonates deeply with me, making it a delightful escape from the hectic world we live in.

All the characters are innocent, loving, and supportive of one another, creating a heartwarming dynamic. Even when one of them, like Eeyore or Piglet, has a bad day, their friends drop everything to make their day better and show them that they're loved. There is little to no violence or hate in the Hundred Acre Wood; it is a place of pure peace and good-hearted adventure, filled with many great friends who are always there for each other. Who wouldn't want to live in a world like that?

In conclusion, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh holds a special place in my heart, not only for its nostalgic value but also for its ability to capture the essence of childhood wonder and imagination. The show's charming characters, whimsical storytelling, and playful humor remind us of the joy in simplicity and the beauty of friendship. It offers a comforting escape into the Hundred Acre Wood, where every adventure is a unique experience filled with laughter and creativity. As I continue to enjoy these stories, I am reminded that no matter how grown-up I may become, the spirit of Pooh and his friends will always resonate with me, inviting me back to a time when imagination knew no limits.

From Piglet to Pooh: How the Hundred Acre Wood Shaped Who We Are

"The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh" was, without question, the childhood show that lit up my world. It wasn't just a series I watched - it was a daily adventure I craved, a comforting blanket of familiar characters, and, looking back, one of the most formative pieces of entertainment in my life. The whole Winnie the Pooh universe, especially the older series and movies, holds a permanent, honey-sweet place in my heart. And I'm not the only one. A recent conversation with my friend group about the impact of Winnie the Pooh brought up a flood of memories and realizations about just how deeply ingrained those characters became in all of us. The fact that we're almost 30 and still talking about them says it all.

The two movies, encompassing the same spirit as the series, The Tigger Movie and Piglet's Big Movie - absolute masterpieces. These films were the pinnacle of entertainment for my younger self, delivering all the warmth, humor, and emotional depth that only the Hundred Acre Wood could provide. The Tigger Movie, in particular, felt like it was made for me. Tigger was always my favorite character - a whirlwind of energy, drive, and boundless enthusiasm. As a wild child myself, I latched onto his larger-than-life persona, even if I couldn't fully articulate it back then. I just knew I loved his bounce, his confidence, and his ability to turn any dull day into an adventure.

In a lot of ways, Tigger was one of my first role models outside of my family. I had no idea that his character was actually teaching me a valuable life lesson: that energy and drive, when funneled into the right things, could be an incredible asset. That "Tigger drive" has followed me into adulthood, helping me in my social life, work, hobbies, and relationships. It's funny to think that a fictional tiger with a spring-loaded tail played such a pivotal role in shaping who I am today, but it's true.

What's even more heartwarming is how universal these characters were. Almost everyone I know could identify with at least one member of the Hundred Acre Wood gang. In that same group conversation, people shared how they or their siblings gravitated toward different characters based on their personalities. One friend's little sister looked up to Piglet because she was shy and timid, and Piglet taught her that it was okay to be small and soft-spoken - everyone had a role to play. My parents admired Pooh for his ability to lead with heart, to make sure everyone was doing alright, while another identified with Rabbit's organizational tendencies and take-charge attitude (maybe a little too much sometimes!). It was fascinating to hear how these characters helped shape our understanding of the world - even if we didn't realize it at the time.

And of course, there's my beloved wife, who liked Eeyore growing up. She's quiet, calm, and values her time alone - much like Eeyore, who, despite his gloom, was deeply loved by everyone around him. It's these kinds of connections that make Pooh and his friends more than just animated characters. They're reflections of the people we are, the people we know, and the people we aspire to be.

If me and my wife are ever blessed with children, there's no doubt in my mind which show will be on heavy rotation in our home. There's so much good to learn from these timeless stories. Whether your child is more like energetic Tigger, wise Owl, timid Piglet, or nurturing Kanga, there's a valuable lesson waiting for them in every episode. Be proactive, be loyal, exercise your strengths, and never stop going outside to explore. The Hundred Acre Wood taught us to embrace all our emotions - the good, the bad, and everything in between - and gave us a gentle framework for understanding the world a little bit better.

I grew up watching the Finnish dubbed version, which added its own special flavor to the experience. The voices, the names, and even the theme song are all imprinted in my psyche in their Finnish versions, and I wouldn't change a thing. The voice actors were incredible - true legends of Finnish voice acting who fully embodied the characters. Even today, when I hear one of those actors in another role, I can't help but think, "That's Tigger!" or "What's Rabbit doing in this show?" Their work is so intertwined with my childhood that I'll forever associate them with the beloved inhabitants of the Hundred Acre Wood. Just before writing this review, I listened to the Finnish theme song to get into the right frame of mind. And as you might have guessed, without missing a beat, I knew every single word. I couldn't help but sing along, basking in the nostalgia.

Winnie the Pooh, in all his honey-loving, adventure-seeking glory, is so much more than just a cartoon character. He and his friends shaped generations, teaching us kindness, friendship, and the importance of understanding that everyone is different - and that's what makes us all special.

Here's to Pooh, Tigger, Rabbit, Eeyore, Piglet, and all the other incredible characters that filled my childhood with joy, laughter, and life lessons. No matter how old I get, they'll always have a home in my heart, and I'm grateful for the impact they've had on me and millions of others.

"A friend is one of the nicest things you can have and one of the best things you can be." -Winnie the Pooh.

Excellent

My neighbor Crystal loves Winnie The Pooh so I figured she liked this cartoon. Tigger is always bouncy. Rabbit is always trying to take the bounce out of Tigger. Roo and Tigger are always bouncy. Pooh is a good detective. Christopher Robin even sleeps with Pooh and Tigger at night. Christopher Robin and Pooh Are Best Friends.
