Dirty O'Neil

SPOILER ALERT: A good humored soft core account of one small town cop's effortless conquest of every nubile female inside city limits, except the one he really wants. On the rare occasions when his pants are on, he coaches the girls' basketball team, battles creeps, and dispenses justice.

Production values, acting and dialogue are above average for the genre, which isn't saying much. The sexually permissive bevy of beauties includes super hot model Anitra Ford of Invasion of the Bee Girls; incandescent Liv Lindeland, Playmate of the Year; and even a college friend of mine working bottomless!

Bottom line: Good for giggles and beer. Early seventies time capsule of consequence free sex; not for your woman or kids due to topless and bottomless scenes; little violence. Available on netflix instant streaming.

While flicking through the Amazon Prime video recommendations, Dirty O'Neil appeared as "something you might like". Never having heard of if and with a poster that looked like a 70's exploitation flick, I gave it a go. Because I currently have a thing for 70's movies due to era being somewhat less cluttered than the current decade.

Dirty O'Neil is obviously a play on Dirty Harry but that is where the similarities end. Because what makes O'Neil dirty is has habit of picking up and sleeping with random women. And this is the main draw of the movie. 1970's women. Women without tattoos, piercings, lip filler, butt lifts, a healthy slim weight and natural hair colour. Never to be repeated. While it has hints of a sexploitation movie, its not quite at the level required to fit into that category. As this has an actual plot. O'Neil works in a small hick town that a bunch of hoodlums invade and its down to him to deal with them. While the first hour is fairly light in tone, the final act is like something out of a Death Wish movie. Also be on the lookout for Captain Mauser from police academy. This must have been the job he had before he moved up the ranks.

The most heinous crime is a guy or group of them raping a weak female unable to defend herself .. for that reason alone i found this film to be sick and disgusting ... makes you wonder what kind of sickp produced and directed it , howard freen is the world's biggest bunghole

DIRTY O'NEIL is a rare little film from AIP, made as a softcore sex picture but with the kind of added grit that you'd expect from an early 1970s production. The protagonist is a cop who spends the running time bedding a string of impossibly beautiful young woman, all of whom seem especially eager to fall into bed with him. The wall-to-wall nudity sustains the running time for the first half hour, but then the film takes a darker turn. There are scenes of abuse and some extra character depth as various folk struggle with almost existential dilemmas, and all of this leads to a violent climax. The acting is nothing to write home about, but the film is better plotted than I'd expected, and the darker tone suits it well.

A cop patrols the streets and maintains the peace until a group of thugs start making trouble for all the babes in town. Lots of pretty women & scenery. Imagine if Jack Tripper from Three's Company developed a hardened attitude, he's the cop in this flick. Harmless fun & zany antics.
