Charming sounds reasonable to define this film in which a sort of Edmond Dantes ,scapegoat for a murder, escapes from prison, discover dark secrets, put in facts his revenge, helps a little girl and gives some lessons to a police inspector.

The source of seduction, no doubts, is the performance of Eddie Constantine as Jackson and the fair use, in some measure with ironic accents - for cliches- , of recipe of policier.

Not ignoring the rabbit Cookie and, in same measure, the versions of femme fatale.

In short, just pleasant, for final, clever but predictable and for inspired nostalgia.

So, a ventroloquist and his brilliant revenge.

Jackson, a former circus artist and ventriloquist has escaped from prison and he now looking for the people who sent him prison. He manages to find Sophie, the little daughter of Françoise who has been injured by some henchmen. Then we follow the tribulations of Jackson and the little Sophie through Paris , the empty theater, Jackson dancing tap dance, the club of Robert Simon,-the honest fruit grocer and club manager, the discovery of the drug traffic , the meeting with the police officer and other adventures.

I enjoyed the performances of Eddie Constantine, François Chaumette and Renée Cosima.
