I love these.movies made before ca. 1997. The atmosohere and acting is really good. However there was only one thing to criticize is the last 20 minutes of the movie. That could have been much better. But all in all I give it a weak 7 out of 10.
The whole cast does well; everyone fits their character. Yes, the girl does seem overly slow to catch on for an otherwise smart person, and there are some plot holes which mar an otherwise strong film, pulling my rating down to a 6. Still, the performances are good and the overall production quality is sound, and the story is engaging enough to hold our attention throughout.
There's not much unique here, but it holds together well enough to be an enjoyable watch, especially if you like gorgeous brunettes -- or creepy psycho dudes. Also, for the most part, I liked the writing, despite the occasional weak point in the plot.
Brooke Langton performed well as Beth Knowlton, a college girl who is being stalked by an older man. Jere Burns, the older man, has the right qualities and look about him that makes him seem like a...weirdo. That's the only word to describe him. Anyway, Langton plays the second half of the movie good when she finally catches on to Primes' little game. Joanna Cassidy who plays Beth's mom is semi-interesting to watch. And the rest of the cast does fairly good as well.
It's a pretty basic idea but it is still good to watch. The little things that Primes' character does shows us that stalkers will go to any lengths to get what they want. And you never know, but you might be in the eye of a stalker.

- गूफ़When Liz Knowlton is watching the videotape of Stephen dancing with Beth at the photo store, Beth looks into the store video camera and says, "I'm going to get you." However, in the earlier scene when they are being videotaped dancing, she doesn't say this.

Stephen Primes: Beth? I've been waiting for you.
Elizabeth 'Beth' Knowlton: Hi, Mr. Primes.
Stephen Primes: Stephen, and I, um, got you a surprise.
Elizabeth 'Beth' Knowlton: Another stuffed toy.
Stephen Primes: Hmm. Cute, wasn't he? I thought you'd like this. It's a Martin Neumeyer original print.
Elizabeth 'Beth' Knowlton: It's great, but I can't accept that.
Stephen Primes: Sure you can. I'll have it framed for you.
Elizabeth 'Beth' Knowlton: No, I can't.
Stephen Primes: Will you stop? It's just a little something for our anniversary.
Elizabeth 'Beth' Knowlton: [puzzled] Our anniversary?
Stephen Primes: Two weeks since we met. I thought we might go out to dinner tonight and celebrate.
Elizabeth 'Beth' Knowlton: Oh, I can't. I have work, and uh, and I have finals.
Stephen Primes: Finals? American Literature and 20th Century Mexican Art? With your grades, you'll knock those out in no time.
Elizabeth 'Beth' Knowlton: [shocked] What, are you *checking* on me?
Stephen Primes: Some girls would be flattered.
Elizabeth 'Beth' Knowlton: Excuse me; I have to go.
[walks away]
Stephen Primes: Don't go too far.
