Hot Springs Hotel

The women of "Hot Springs Hotel" are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen!! Showtime has really outdone itself this time! Kat (Samantha Phillips) and Lacey (Glori Gold) are two of the most perfect looking women that have ever existed, their mere presence on screen will make you wish you had VR to interact with them!! This is basically the best adult comedy on tv today and I hope that more people watch it and that Showtime keeps it running for years to come!

Hot Springs Hotel is typical of some of the stuff you would find on late night U.S. cable T.V. in the mid-90's. I would only watch this if I happened to be suffering from insomnia or sleeplessness as TMN Canada would show this late at night. This $1.98 series about two siblings and their busty friend who run a hotel where inhibitions run wild is extremely tame compared to the middlecore they show these days. The women are the typical ones you would find in these films with bodies enhanced by David Schwimmer and Chris Cooper. Glori Gold, who plays the busty co-owner, also went to see the Breast Men but sadly has a very unattractive face. The men in this show come off as one-dimensional and the plots are similar to the ones from Faulty Towers but without anything spectacular done with them.

However, there is one huge redeeming factor to see the show. Samantha Phillips! Despite being 31 at the time, Phillips owns as Katherine Matthus. The Kat is one of those women who don't need to shed her clothing to turn you on. She looks delicious wearing the concierge outfit; which consists of the shirt and jacket and a revealing mini-skirt that shows off those awesome legs while her hair is tied up and she wears glasses. She also spends a lot of time dancing in this outfit (the best part of all, by far). It would not surprise me if somebody at WCW may have seen the show as her character was a virtual template for Stacy Keibler's Miss Hancock character when she made her debut in 1999.

I doubt anybody is still showing this as many premium networks have moved to more explicit fare. This could be airing in Canada, though (it was airing in 2004), so if you have TMN you must check one episode and see The Kat dance!

Okay, lots of topless women. But they are all pure silicon. And considering Showtime's other series, its surprising how timid they are about showing lower frontal nudity. Hands and sheets are strategically placed to always cover this up in a way that would never happen during real sex.

The acting is poor and the dialogue putrid. If you see one episode, there is no point in seeing any others. There are much better series out there for soft-core.

IMDb describes it thus: "Brother and sister, Randy and Kat, own the Hot Springs Hotel and along with Kat's friend Lacey get into all kinds of shenanigans with their staff and customers". This accurately sums it up, through I'd coin a new word, shaganigans.

The star of the show is Randy (Robert Vitelli), a clear case of nominative determinism, plus numerous sexy female staff and guests he seduces with minimum effort. It makes no claim to intellectual rigour, or even competent storytelling, plot hole pedants could have a field day. Randy and occasionally other men make love to girls whose names are not revealed, their role in the story (such as it is) is not explained, and whom we never see again.

I've watched most episodes twice, purely in the interests of research you understand. My infallible babe-ometer registered two which, as it were, give the most bang for your buck:

7 Rock Star. Handsome rock star Trent (Phillip Rhys Chaudhary) checks in to have a rest from female attention, only for several fan club girls to catch up with him. He beds a gorgeous brunette and five minutes later an equally lovely blonde, but not before Randy has opened the batting with a lengthy bath scene.

13 Layout. Randy hits on the idea of an illustrated brochure, possibly motivated by the opportunity to get girls to strip off, naturally he's the photographer. Most notable for an erotic scene with the best looking babe in the series (curly hair, brunette/redhead) didn't catch the name. As is usually the case this happens after barely a minute, so there is time aplenty for another two sex scenes to make up the typical quota.

Now it's been a while since I posted a comment of anything on IMDb but I'll make my say on Hot Springs Hotel. This show can be a pain in the royal butt on certain episodes but it does have it's share of moments whenever they wake up and smell the roses. Now in this soft porn TV flick most of these actors may never get a chance to go mainstream unless they got a good agent that's willing to believe them. If not they still be making b rated porn flicks which may never get them anywhere. The Hot Springs Hotel flick is among the corniest flick of them all even though you see plenty of eye candy on there. Some these actors I'm sure are still doing porn or some of them vanished completely. The acting is the most amateurist which you can bet you might as well change the channel if you start to get annoyed watching these people make complete geeks of themselves which of course is obvious this show is recommended for geeks only if they need to watch something that suits them, this show is for them.
