This movie is about a contract killer in New York City who wants out of the business because he's completely burned out. He has, or had, an assistant (Matt Craven) who he's not spoken to since the assistant botched a job.
The killer (Anthony LaPaglia) wants no more jobs, but he allows himself to be talked in to one more by a client (Peter Boyle)...a very unusual job...a woman (Mimi Rodgers) who wants to be killed and is expecting him.
It's an unusual story, written by
Gordon Melbourne and Mark Malone who also directed, about unusual people in an unusual situation, but one that is very compelling.
The movie was very well directed by Malone, and moves along at a good pace. The acting in every case is outstanding with the cast making all the quirky characters believable.
If you're a fan of Noir, and comedy, and drama, and romance all rolled up in one neat package, do yourself a favor and check this one out.
