No Child of Mine

"NO CHILD OF MINE" 10/10 I'll keep this as short as possible. Todays date is June 21st,2019 the dates important because this film regardless of when it was released in '97 still packs the punch of modern cinema. Of course though me being a fan of older disturbing films and I've basically seen them all which would be a couple hundred from "Serbian film" to "120 days of Sodom" or even the "Guinea pig" series, theres always a few that slip through the cracks until they arrive in your purview and for me today it was "NO CHILD OF MINE" which is based on a true story about a 10yo girl from the U.K, who is abused played by. Brooke Kinsella. The job Brooke does playing Kerry is absolutely amazing I won't give away anything but when a movie such as this really opens your eyes to how sick, cruel and indifferent adults can be towards helpless children movies like this should be mandatory viewing and community outreach programs should triple in funding and volunteer assistance. I personally vow to do more but just thinking how there could be hundreds or thousands of Kerry's wishing for someone to help them really tugs at my heart. So when evil people who are disgraceful, corrupt and unkind like what my country is dealing with from our current president, people have to realize what we are showing our kids and the trash they take in on a day to day basis will have disastrous and horrifying consequences not just for their generation but for the ones to come. A HAVE TO WATCH film don't worry too much about the quality it adds realism that's priceless better than found footage can do.. Cheers.

This movie is very eye opening I've watched a lot of movies like this but this is the only I had to fight back my tears can't believe how people and use a little girl is such a way in considering this is based on true events The sad thing is this is not isolated incident hundreds if not thousands kids go through this every year at the end of the of movie considering everything she went through and what was done to her I felt so sorry for her and the facts told At the end of the movie. Made me so angry this movie needs to be watched people needs to have there eyes opened this story will stay with me for the rest of my lives 10/10.

How they got away with this film is unbelievable its bad enough children being abused but did they have to make a film like this we know this goes on and this was awful 😖 😱 i was sickened by this it should've been banned come back mary whitehouse all is forgiven.

Im not being funny, but some of you sound like perverts yourself getting all defensive! The movie was intended to be over the top in order to illustrate the vulnerability of some children in our society today. Whilst I can accept that the mass betrayal to Kerry from almost every adult she encountered was some what unbelievable, who is to say that her parents and their friends weren't involved in a paedophile circle and this point was not focused on the film. It was clear that the abuse had been going on from before the breakdown of her parents marriage or indeed where the storyline actually kicked off.

The movie was powerful as it portrayed a story from the perspective of a child who knew what was happening to her was wrong, but tried to block the truth out in order to have some sense of normality from her parents. I myself have no knowledge of how these perverted networks operate but can only imagine that these people don't advertise their membership with a sign on their head, it is believable that something like this could happen and is still happening with guardians and family friends who are good at hiding their illness, we only have to look at a few domestic abuse cases to see how people attempt to hide what happens behind closed doors.

Obviously in the times we live in now there will be cases where adults are falsely accused of molestation, but I think the film demonstrates how these should still be investigated seriously, because for this type of thing to happen just once is far too much in the life of a child. The way the care system was CPS was bound by red tape demonstrates the systems failings on some of our most vulnerable in society, the betrayal of the care home worker demonstrates the type of people who pray on people in this situation. Now more checks are carried on adults who work with children and this is a positive development, 20 plus years ago this was just not the case.

A powerful drama which I believe is intended to stimulate thought and awareness about the things that are happening around us. - No Child of Mine - the title says it all, I would not accept it for any of my children or any child for that matter. What has happened to the real meaning of community?

This movie has so many emotions to it, I cannot name just one feeling that I felt. What an eye opener for Brittan, not to mention all states. This may be an older movie but the message is just the same today. The things that are happening to our children in this day & age are unimaginable. I pray that the victims in these movies find solace. I am appalled as to the long string of adults that this child came in contact with and failed her. From her blood to the system. How she lived daily is a mystery. For such a young girl to muster the strength and courage to live on a daily bases is unreal. This poor girl is the perfect picture to a broken system. I had to check twice to be sure that this was a true story. It is unbelievable!!
