During production, Marisa Tomei did not like driving the 1981 Pontiac Trans Am, which is the car that her character drives in the film. On the last day of shooting, she accidentally backed it into a telephone pole. She later said that the accident "wasn't her fault" and that the car was "a wreck, I should never have agreed to drive it".
There are 80+ uses of the "f" word in this film, and Marisa Tomei's character Monica said almost all of them. In fact, Tomei spoke 95% of all swear words in the film.
David Rowlands: As Millie's neighbor George. Rowlands is Gena Rowlands' brother and director Nick Cassavetes' uncle. This role was David Rowlands' final on-screen appearance.
