फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
The general storyline was a little predictable (hmm, she agrees to drive him cross-country to meet his girlfriend, and they end up falling in love. Who would've thought?) But the story unfolding on the screen (ignoring the premise behind it) was cute, and very entertaining. If you can get past the fact that this movie has a pretty basic "Yeah, you all know they're gonna fall in love" idea, then you will enjoy this movie.
The screenplay was originally written by Kevin Smith (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma) and was then re-written by so many people that his name was omitted from the film. His trademark "Jaws" reference remains!
However, there are bits of dialogue that were obviously Smith's or were at least adapted from his original dialogue.
Worth watching, but don't expect too much!
Having watched Smith's "Jersey Trilogy" before, I was pleasantly surprised to note that the references to other KS films had been kept down to a minimum, but this could obviously be due to the other writers being around.
In short, this movie's merit came from the wacky, off-beat humor that is so lacking in some films today. Not just a barrage of sexually-orientated jokes (although there were a couple), the film actually made room for a storyline amongst all it's humor.
In short, Overnight Delivery is another good, funny film to come from the mind of Kevin Smith, and actors Paul Rudd and Reese Witherspoon have just enough cool, hip bravado and wit to pull off the roles.

Ivy: Slut? Oh, oh, no. If I wanna bag a professor from one of my classes, I will, but nobody, and I mean nobody, calls me a slut, so the next time you feel like casting aspersions on my character, try remembering that this quote unquote slut is driving your judgmental ass all the way to Des Moines. So a little decency would be in order. Got it? Good.
