The movie has a lot going for it. Great music, lovely women, interesting characters and a plot with some promise. For me, it did not deliver. The story did not flow, and there were no surprises and no suspense. It is worth a watch, but just barely.

This film was a nice attempt at gritty psychological film noir. I've always been crazy in love with Lynette Walden ever since I saw her in, a little known, made for T.V. movie "Saved By The Light". She always steals the show in just about anything she plays in. Lynette, my details are in the profile, if you're ever around Charlotte, look me up, I'll show you the town ;)

I don't know why, but this movie is in my mind for 10 years. I was watched it when I was 13 and 'till now I remember not the subject of the film, but something like strange feeling I always assotiate with the title of "Almost Blue". No, I'm not saying it's great, but remembered deep in my mind:))) If you aren't watch it - I suggest you to do it immediataly:))

I first saw this movie when I was 16. I was living with my parents in Brooklyn , NY. I didn't have to do much but to go to a local VHS video rental store and rent like 5-7 movies a day, in order to kill some time. I doubt that i could have been in the same state of mind as Madsen's character, but now after 17 years have passed, I still think that this is one most meaningful and deep movies I have ever seen, as as well as one of the Michael Madsen's best acts.

Everything, even the slightest detail in this movie is perfect, starting from color correction ending with costumes. Too bad it never came out on DVD. My regards to the producers and the director.
