This cur has a better command of the english language than some folks I know. There was no problem he came across that was insurmountable: the pup was a plain canine genius. A kid's film all the way because, although I like smart animal shows, this was just too, too lame for an adult to sit through without some serious squirming.
Bought this for the kids a very long time ago. Anyway, I didn't know what to expect; maybe a Lassie Come Home" type storyline.
Wow was I wrong. Bingo is a joker, and...., he knows mathematics, saves a kid's life (via Chest pumps no less), is in / runs away from a circus, gets the female dog next door drunk and takes advantage of her, frees caged dogs from an evil restaurant owner using them as hamburger, gets involved with the two (of course not so bright) bad guys, testifies under oath in court, gets convicted, escapes from prison, and so many more outlandish/ridiculously corny exploits I will not detail here.
Love Cindy Williams and David (don't call me Sledge Hammer), Rasche, as a funny, not so talented NFL field goal kicker.
A movie like this is for fun only. And it's so ridiculous, it's like Slapstick: The timing has to be right and ya gotta go all the way. And by and large, it is, and they did.
I gave this 7 stars because it made me laugh out loud so many times. And I'm an old guy too. I took this movie with us on a ski trip to show it to my buddy, also an old guy, just to get his take on it. He laughed out loud several times as well. Good enough. Expensive comedies can't do that.
The movie really starts when Dad again gets traded, and they have to relocate to a different city. His son has adopted (and his hiding) bingo without his (or anybody else's) knowledge, because dad hates animals; especially dogs.
They leave without Bingo, and the Incredible Journey begins. Incredibly ridiculous that is.
Will Bingo find his owner??

I've loved this movie since I was 6 years old. I found it pretty amazing that one dog walked a long journey from Colorado to Wisconsin and did not get hit by a car. He did have several mishaps along the way of finding Chuckie and his family. The saddest part of the movie is in the scene when Bingo has to jump through that ring of fire during the circus show and seeing the fire reminds him of when he was a puppy and the pet store he was born in caught on fire and his mother was lying halfway out of a cage dead. And the next scene in Bingo's recollection where he was sitting in front of his mother's memorial fountain that read: "TAFFY- Beloved Mother" made it even more sad.I almost cried.
The rest of the movie was very funny. I thought it was really cool during that hospital scene in the last 10 minutes of the film where every single person bingo met on his journey came together to visit him and wish him well. I'm 20 and I STILL love this movie

BINGO, in my opinion, is a cute movie about a very special friendship between a boy and a dog. I thought that Hal and Natalie (David Rasche and Cindy Williams) were a little cold-hearted, but Chuckie (Robert J. Steinmilller Jr.) was a very sweet kid. Bingo was a sweet dog, though. He even saved Chuckie in times of trouble. Way to go, Bingo! If you ask me, that's one thing that made the bond between them so special. When Bingo was trying to catch up to Chuckie during his cross-country movie, I felt really moved inside. In conclusion, I highly recommend this movie to all you dog lovers or Cindy Williams fans who have not seen it.
Normally I am not much for any movie that features an animal and as a result I avoided watching this movie as long as I could. However, since my grand daughter and my wife watched it over and over for months it was inevitable that I would be exposed to it. What a joy. To my surprise it was a parody, and a clever one at that. Once I realized the film was a spoof and being played for laughs I couldn't stop laughing. The well written script and hilarious sight gags make this fun for adults and children. However, I do have one complaint about the writing. Why was the limited profanity in the script? It adds nothing to the movie and worst of all is not funny. I can't believe that a guy like me who likes "Pulp Fiction" would be making this complaint, but without the needless profanity this is a perfect family movie. Profanity aside "Bingo" is a hoot.

- ट्रिवियाA scene with Bunny shown in the trailer did not make it into the theatrical release. It shows her throwing raw hamburger onto a window which Bingo is looking out with her saying, "raw meat". The context for this joke is unclear.
- गूफ़When Chuckie is being held in the warehouse, the rope moves around in between shots. Also in one scene it is wrapped around him five times, but in every other scene it's wrapped around him four times. He very obviously is untied and tied up again in between shots.
