Spaced Invaders

Spaced Invaders rocked! It was an awesome underrated movie that very well should definitely have gotten much better ratings. I saw it when it was out in the movie theatres eleven years ago. I thought it was incredibly funny and still think that way today. I think they should have made action figures and a sequel of this great movie.

Zany and fun -- that's all this movie is about! Don't think about trying to read too much into it. If you do, you'll be sorely disappointed. It's just a farcical take-off on monster movies and contains some real good slapstick moments. No violence, no sex, no foul language -- safe for the kids and fun for the adults!!

Stupid? Yes.

Laughable? Yes, again.

Fun? Definitely!

This movie accomplishes it's primary goal: entertain and have fun. That's all a good movie need do.

Worth a rent, at least one time.

I thought this would be another goofball ET ripoff (like the awful "Nookie"), but it is, instead is light-heartedly enthusiastic, with clever dialog, and a generally don't-take-ourselves-too-seriously attitude that makes this a great late-night (or late-saturday-afternoon) entertainment. Give it a watch! "That's it! Take me to a Government Lab, and cut me into wafer thin sections."

A nostalgic thing for me, rewatching this silly flick brings me back to my childhood days watching the TV in our living room.

Its silly, its aliens, its halloween, its fun for kids.

The concept and plot are simple and straightforward. Its kindof inspired by the war of the worlds radio broadcast. The aliens misinterpret a halloween rebroadcast as a real invasion and decide to join in.

Father and daughter move to new town, father is sheriff, its halloween so the typical oblivious townfolk think the invading aliens are just kids in costumes.

The acting was decent rarely good. The kids and aliens were alright. The old people were fun.

The stereotypical Mr Klembecker was probably fun to act.

There are a lot of silly jokes in this flick.

The Props and Decor are Good, some special effects and a miniature. Personally i prefer practical to cgi.

Its a silly kids movie but to me its meant enough to give it a 5.8 instead of the 4.4 i would give. Definitely not more than a 7 or less then a 3.
