Frans Buyens is known as a documentary filmmaker. So this film has a very documentary style. And that is how you should see this film. The actors always talk directly into the camera, addressing their oldest son but this creates a very close attachment between the actors and us, the audience. It is a very sensitive film and both the main actors are performing astonishing good.
