Like the film it parodies, "Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers" is about a guy against alien copycats. In both films, the main character (in this case, Bugs Bunny) knows that his life is relatively routine (outsmart Elmer Fudd, cross Yosemite Sam, etc.) But one day, strange pods pop up out of nowhere, and the next day the same people have different attitudes; paler, but friendlier (and in this case, animated differently.) In a thrilling and slightly creepy climax, Bugs has to fight off his copy and bring back his original friends.
Bugs has his great one-liners, ("There's one for Ripley's...") but my favorite part is how extravagantly animated the Daffy replacement is. At one point, he's as jerky as Rocky and Bullwinkle, and the next minute his mouth is moving too smoothly for comfort.
"Invasion of the Bunny Snatchers" is not a terrible toon; it just doesn't live up to previous toons and the film it spoofs. For an hilarious spoof, watch "Duck Dodgers in the 24 1/2th Century".

Bugs Bunny: It's no use, I just can't sleep. My delicate inner sense of danger tells me there's something fatally foreboding in the atmosphere. Elmer Fudd was a pale stereotype of his former self. Even paler than the original, if that's possible. And Sam wasn't Sam but an unreasonable facsimile thereof, a not so incredible insinuation. And that duck, sure, it looked like a duck and quacked like a duck.
[the carrot Bugs Bunny accepted from Daffy rolls off a desk onto his floor, cracks open like an egg and out comes an alien rabbit]
Bugs Bunny: [after feeling three light taps on a shoulder] Yeeesss?
Pale Stereotype of Bugs: [brandishing an axe] Eh, what's up doc?
[Bugs then runs away, screaming, then stops long enough to speak to the audience]
Bugs Bunny: You know something, folks? This is the scariest part of the picture.
[resumes running and screaming, the Looney Tunes closing begins, but Bugs Bunny stops it, lifting the film back up]
Bugs Bunny: Wait, hold it! You don't think I would let it end that way, do you?
- क्रेज़ी क्रेडिटAs the second and correct Closing Credits are playing over a glowing carrot, from the planet "Noodnik". After the credits, we see a badly drawn clone of Porky Pig coming out of the Looney Tunes/Merry Melody drum hole, starting to say a distorted "Th-th-th-that's all folks!", until Bugs heard it start and says "Oh, no you don't!" Bugs then immediately kicked the counterfeit out of frame and replaces it with the real Porky Pig and then, Porky says, his famous closing line, [stuttering] "Th-th-th-that's all folks!".
