Heavy-handed educational film about the life of one of the (supposedly) worst teens in Stockholm in the mid 80s. Paolo and his friends rob and beat people up for seemingly no reason other than the rush. As the minuscule plot unfolds across many a Stockholm night we get to see a metric ton of bad hair and more laughable 80s fashion than is good for you. A lot of the acting is downright horrible, the fights are over choreographed and stylized, glorified even, and the ultimate message is laughably heavy-handed. In spite of all of this, the film is almost watchable as a document of a bygone era, and as a view in to the burgeoning hip-hop scene in Stockholm at the time.

the storie is based on young paolo roberto´s own experiences in his teens. Paolo and his friends hang around kungsan at night as the get in trouble while robbing and beat down people. GET THE FACTS: in the summer of ´85-86 many teen gangs confronted eachother at kungsan at night and smaller riots started. The films director who worked as a social-science at that point heard about it and went downtown for the action. There he met young paolo, one of stockholms most feared teens. That is the major ingridiense for the film. This is truely a good film although it first was made for information in schools

Stockholmsnatt is about Swedish Paolo Roberto and his violent behaviour in the streets of Stockholm City by night.

Even though some of the acting sucks, it's surprisingly well put together with great 80's music and a believable story that you feel had happened for real. The high pace is also adding to the watchability even now in 2020.

Stockholmsnatt is a genuine glance into the underground violent youth in Stockholm in the late 80's which is truly fasinating to watch.
