The 'Ravepad'website states: ''As a teenager, Russell became president of Mae West's fan club, and briefly worked and lived in Los Angeles as West's secretary.'' His impersonation of West in 'Nothing Personal'(1980) is so authentic in this film that one easily believes that it is the real Mae West.
