Having barely been released from prison, cunning conman Victor Vauthier once again plunges into a series of scams. He makes his way through life in new disguises and with original tricks - always accompanied by his eccentric uncle Camille.

Victor Vauthier is a master of masquerade and an incorrigible crook. No sooner has he served a three-month prison sentence than he returns to his old life of swindles, scams and amorous adventures. Victor lives with his uncle Camille in a converted caravan and is always planning new coups: Sometimes he sells things that don't even belong to him, sometimes he deals with shady business partners or wraps women around his finger with his irresistible charm. The idealistic probation officer Marie-Charlotte Pontalec is supposed to lead Victor back to the right path - but he is hardly impressed. Instead, he involves the young woman in a turbulent game of cat-and-mouse and tries to cast a spell over her. When Victor learns that Marie-Charlotte's father works as the manager of a museum in which a valuable El Greco painting hangs, he hatches a bold plan: together with Camille, he wants to steal the work of art. But the planned heist turns into a series of mishaps, mix-ups and comic situations. Victor Vautier is incorrigible: he's in constant motion, working several cons at once, using different names and changing disguises. He's charming and outrageous, incapable of uttering a sentence that isn't embellished or an outright lie. His life goal is to make enough money to build a sea wall to protect Mont-Saint-Michel. Charlotte, a parole officer, shows up: she's young and seems taken in by Victor. He discovers she lives above the Senlus Museum, where her parents are the curators. With two pals he decides to steal a priceless El Greco triptych and then ransom it back to the cultural ministry.
