फ़ीचर्ड समीक्षाएं
JACOB TWO-TWO MEETS THE HOODED FANG is an extremely odd little children's adventure film from Canada, made on the cheapest budget imaginable. I was put off this one right from the beginning by the mindless and inane antics of the lead character, who for no good reason decides to repeat most of his dialogue twice (hence his name). The novelty of this approach wears off after about two minutes and it just gets more and more grating from that point in. It turns out the kid's into wrestling and he ends up sent to some kid's home run by an evil wrestler, but after an interminable period there's the lamest ending ever. Don't bother!
What if Emma AKA The Intrepid Shapiro had a Evil Foe who could bite & claw at the good that Intrepid Shapiro was. So The Hooded Fang The Arch Enemy Of Child Power which The Intrepid Shapiro was The Leader as a girl that she was so he made an evil girl that had the power to bite & claw the good that would stop evil. The Hooded Fang named the girl The Fox Girl cause he knew that a fox could to the job cause it's wise. So Emma see's her dear watch gos off while she's in class and asks to answer it out in the hall so she turn's into The Intrepid Shapiro to fight her new foe. So The Intrepid Shapiro found her new foe ready to bite at her. So we meet at last said The Fox Girl as she saw The Intrepid Shapiro you will not stop me Shapiro said as she feled a bite at her. Ow said Shapiro now I'll claw at you said The Fox Girl.
Emma Two-Two or The Intrepid Shapiro as she is called because of her power that she has over the evil that's out to stop her because she is the leader of Child Power. Emma in her real form is girl who go to school and likes to hangout with her friends but when evil calls she becomes the leader of Child Power The Intrepid Shapiro. I wish that there was a web site to The Intrepid Shapiro with a lot of photos.
Believe it or not, this forgotten film is even stupider than its title. Filmed in 1976, it obviously had a hard time getting its initial release which was late in 1978. The story was written by A Jewish/Canadian author, Mordecai Richler. Never heard of him. It borrows very much from the CS Lewis theme "Alice's adventures in Wonderland. Unfortunately, it's not as charming or engaging as the famed CS Lewis' classic. It contains many creepy and sinister characters that are so laughable you can't take them seriously. The cast is nearly all Canadian with the exception of ex-Pro Wrestler, Alex Karras. His portrayal of the 'Hooded Fang' is so awkwardly overacted that he's more of a caricature than a real serious villain. Sounding just like the Lion in Wizard of OZ and mugging uncontrollably, It was painful to watch him. And instead of having a little girl, we have a little Boy, Jacob Two Two, who is traumatized by people, because he often repeats his phrases. I like if a story can show how bullied children stand strong within themselves in the face of adversity, but the rest of the story is so demented that we hardly ever appreciate and buy into it. And whoever did the music for this movie needs to never work again in show business. It's absolutely excruciating.
