- Venusian Voice: We are the collective minds of this world your craft now orbits. Be it enough for you to know that during the span of our evolution, our civilization has witnessed the birth and death of worlds and suns untold. But enough. Your time is short. You may not enter our world. We have witnessed the self-destructive powers of the green planet you call Earth. We have no malice toward you. You have destroyed your place in the universe. - Lt. Katie Carlson: I came to see about supper.
- Price: Well, it's the altitude. It works up the appetite.

- Lt. Katie Carlson: I was talking about vibrations.
- Mason: Oh. How are yours doing?

- [the doomsday device has been set off and the crew watch a city flood]

- [he looks up slowly from the viewer; Maj. Mason looks through, sees the Earth flashing like a bulb]
- Lt. Katie Carlson: [worriedly] C'mon everybody, what's all the big surprise about?
- [looks around]
- Lt. Katie Carlson: A few years from now, when we get back...
- [the crew look back at her; shock begins to set in]
