Filmed mostly in a studio mock-up of a central junction in Tel Aviv, Israel, including one of the city's most famous movie theaters - Mougraby.

Writer / Director Ephraim Kishon, can be glimpsed during the traffic jam scene in the beginning of the movie, as the nervous driver shouting in the red car.

The actor Bomba Tzur is best known for his portrayal of the lunatic Blaumilch in this movie, though he says only one word during the entire movie - "Blaumilch".

During the scene at the police station, in which the neighbors mimic the sounds of the construction machines - the portrait of Levi Eshkol, the third Prime Minister of Israel, appears for a second among the flashbacks, for no apparent reason. The movie came out two weeks after his death.

The red-headed child sitting on the jack-hammer, on whom the camera zooms, is director Ephraim Kishon's son, Raphi. He is now a well known veterinarian in Israel.
