American-International Pictures released this film as the bottom half of a double feature with I Was a Teenage Werewolf (1957) with the tagline "We DARE You To See The Most Amazing Pictures of Our Time!"
Special effects technician Paul Blaisdell, who provided the alien make-up and flying saucer, recalled that this film was originally intended to be a serious film but gradually developed into a comedy.
The flying saucer built by Paul Blaisdell was also used in the opening scene of Controlled Experiment (1964).
The entire film takes place during the period of one night, with 98% of it filmed on a studio sound stage.
