Narrated by Sir Michael Redgrave and featuring the voices of many other leading actors including Sir Ralph Richardson and Marius Goring this truly epic series comprised no less than twenty-six 40-minute episodes. It drew on over one million feet of original film, hundreds of exclusive interviews with veterans and contemporary diaries, letters and reports from the war.
