After Pearly Gates has shown his gang the film he shot of the jewellery store manager opening his safe and providing them with the combination, one of the gang asks "What's on next week?" Pearly replies "A few educational films and training films. Starting off with Du rififi chez les hommes (1955), the French film, The Day They Robbed the Bank of England (1960) followed by The League of Gentlemen (1960). After that we're having a discussion of what we've learned from all three films." Each of these titles is an actual heist movie.
