Silly story but great music. Very entertaining.
This movie is kind of on the light side. A comedy with music. If you want to feel good after a stressful day, this is the perfect movie to watch. Most of the German movies in the 1950's were designed to distract from a painful past. The three Sissi movies are of similar style. It was great to see Mantovani himself in the movie. Vico Torriani was a popular singer in Germany in the 1950s and 60s as well as an entertainer. He had his own television show in the 1960s called the Vico Torriani show. The color of the movie was quite great good for its time.
