Georgette lives in Paris with her unexciting, effeminate husband, Maurice. Suzanne lives across the street, spending her time reading romance novels, while dreaming of someone more exciting than her own lackluster spouse, Paul. Both women happen across the other's husband, and they begin their dream affairs. To relieve the boredom of their marriage, young dancing team Georgette and Maurice Lallé are on the alert for new flirtations. One morning, Dr. Paul Giraud comes to their apartment, intent on thrashing Maurice with his cane for apparently attempting to entrance his wife Suzanne, but his temper quickly cools when he recognizes Georgette as a former sweetheart. Maurice begins a counter-flirtation with Suzanne, which results in his arrest when he is mistaken for the doctor. Suzanne tracks down her now intoxicated husband, taking him home and, after an amusing tiff, the couple reconciles.—anonymous
