Only a 16mm copy of this film survives, and it has been released on video and DVD.
Film debut of Gilbert Roland. He and Clara Bow would become lovers during the production of this film, which evolved into a life-long friendship that lasted until Bow's death in 1965.
This was Clara Bow's 15th and final film of 1925, and it had its world premiere in late October of that year in Los Angeles. Adolph Zukor, the founder of Paramount Pictures, saw the film and wanted Bow to be part of the stock company of Paramount performers; she joined the studio in November of 1925, after Paramount merged with Clara's home studio, Preferred Pictures, which was founded by producer B.P. Schulberg.
Based on the popular 1922 novel of the same name, which was written by Brown University professor Percy Marks. B.P. Schulberg, the producer who discovered Clara Bow in 1923, paid $45,000 for the rights of the book.
Clark Gable worked as an extra on this film, appearing in four brief shots throughout. Contrary to belief, Carole Lombard never worked on this film.
