10 star ratings? Roughly 1.5 hours of "enhanced sounds" that were probably someone's digestive noises, 4 characters asking "Did you hear that?" and bokeh artifacts that are supposed to be movements recorded on video. Perhaps the camera lenses were dirty or scratched. If you're reading this review, you've already wasted too much time researching this movie.

I'm not sure how anyone could rate this higher. If the 10 star reviews are real - those people are the reason studios keep churning out sub par films. Stay far away.

From the reviews you would think this think is movie is going to be awesome. I am now convinced all the extremely high ratings were planted reviews either paid for or left specifically by the owner of this tourist attraction voice, or the actual creators of the movie. Don't waste your time.

I agree with the previous review, all the high ratings had to of been paid for.

Zero tension, 1.5 hours of anticipating any type of paranormal anything. 1.5 hours of men taking selfie videos of blank stares and reactions to nothing. Paid nothing to see this and I want my money back.

Here's what you will do for an hour and twenty minutes IF you watch this. Wait for something to happen.....then wait.....then wait.....wait a little more.....then wait.....and THEN......nothing happens. Like I said in my description,SERIOUSLY.....watching paint dry will be a better experience for you. There is absolutely NOTHING scary in this documentary. BUT.....if you have insomnia,this film is better than taking a couple of Sominex pills.

I'm not at all sure why there are people hating on this documentary. Actually I can give you the exact reason. They're all Zak bagans fanboys waiting for a demon to possess the metrosexual, poor acting wannabe psychic host. I have unfortunate news for you kiddies Zak Bagans and the whole of the Ghost Adventures team are a bunch of fakers that give real Paranormal Researches a bad name. Here's an idea that might tickle you haters crawl into a dark basement blindly fondle each other while saying "oh my god a demon is touching me" over and over again and you'll have your idea of a 10 out of 10 investigation. I'd say enjoy but you're probably already crying.

Alex is an idiot and knows very little about the oujia board and rituals, why you other guys would allow him to have control is utterly insane, you guys stand around like your planning the next 2 min. Your boring ! But sticking a ouija board can Your undoing as a group. So if a demon were attacking u what r u going to do flap Alex's hair, you guys are very unprepared for what you are dealing with, that is very evident!!

I think the story line was great, but, no just lagged..... kept getting stuck, the end well....hmmm was really bad. So, if you are really bored, want to watch a mindless ghost investigative movie... this is it.

I don't understand all the hate I've been reading about this film. It's everything it should be. In fact, it was more than I expected, compared to many documentaries in this genre. I was quite mesmerized by the what these filmmakers captured on film. Go in with an open mind and give this film a chance.

You can see the time, dedication and passion these 4 have for the paranormal. Mad House is expertly edited and thrilling to watch. If I could give it more than 10 stars I would!
