Watching this movie was just the experience I hoped it was going to be! The storyline of a man who wants to kill himself but has the fateful flaw of being unable to follow through on any decision was very clever.
I appreciated the (very) dark humor and laughed out loud often. The main character Ernst is trapped at the cabin he drove out to to kill himself by a man who looks like him. They use a lot of yoga and alcohol to get to the root of Ernst's cowardliness and self-hatred to give him the ability to follow through on his decision.
Otwin Biernat played both parts. I admired the actor's ability to be so convincing while being the only actor there.
I thought the direction and editing was creative and energetic. I especially enjoyed a scene where Ernst gathers wild mushrooms for dinner and then goes on a psychedelic trip.
This film is a deep dive into Ernst's very being. So on top of the hilarious dark humor, and very creative filming style, it also inspires viewers to think deeply.

Ernst is a man who can't finish anything off properly, not even himself. And don't let's start on his fear of the dark or his trouble peeing. Alone in a cabin with the intention to kill himself, an alter ego visits him and...that's when things get weird!
This film made me think about depression, madness, identity, indecision, paralysis and the slow journey to self-knowledge. There's a lot to digest as the main character grapples with his choices or lack thereof.
It's a beautiful film that creates a sad and melancholic atmosphere but never forgets also to be darkly hilarious throughout - and when I say dark I mean dark!
This is an amazing achievement, a one-man tour de force by director/producer/actor/composer Otwin Biernat. It looks beautiful with a stunning Austrian mountain backdrop. The understated soundtrack is charming and perfectly pitched for the movie. The writing is great and keeps you hooked and at times the performance conjures the intensity and intimacy of a stage play.
I loved this movie so much I've already watched it twice. It's a masterpiece of indie filmmaking that stays with you long after the (also hilarious) credits roll.

This movie is not to be missed. Be prepared to be sucked into a wonderful atmosphere of joy and despair that speaks to the roots of the heart. It really is a movie that gets to the heart, because both laughter and tears will be provoked, but I have to admit I mostly laughed in delight. It's so good to see the reflection of yourself in the mind and experience of the main protagonist. I think most of us will relate to the thoughts and emotions being expressed. Thank you, Otwin, for that exciting journey. It was so much fun and especially thrilling and inspiring. The movie truely feels like a gift.
