Okay, so as usual we all know where the 9 & 10 ratings are coming from! This movie was beyond boring. I paused it at 54:46 just to write this review and I don't think I want to watch the rest of it!
For me to swallow in one gulp. its a film about a show dancers, a troop called the family, a well driven troop of dancers, till the new instructor/director comes, as a part of a cutting budgets twist from the company running the shows everything is turned litterally upside down, and the crew members quits one by one like a diurnal fly, rather than getting fired.
its not a film with suspence and fun, its too dramatic to be that, but its so full of aerobatics, done by true aerialists, and for that reason the standards of true acting are at the average level. but what they do in the ropes, strings, lyras and cloths are just amazing, if not to say fantastic.
its also a film about aging, being treated like a burden and showstopper. its an anti labourunion flick, not with big demonstrations, but at the individual level. what a contract can be worth is easy to see by watching the aerialist.
its also a film about occupational injuries, and painfull bodies that often accompanies a life in sports and arts like dancing , ballets, gymnastics and acrobatics(and even in medical nursing) to mention some.
its not a film for the big crowds thinks the grumpy old man, its too slow and specialized to become a block buster, but to all of you with a hang to the subject, have a look, its a marvel of bodily arts

I loved this movie. The true artistry in the story telling, acting, and physicality is apparent throughout the film. The lives of the characters were so complex and interesting and absolutely glued me to the film. It touches on so many topics in the field of aerial performance, the business of the industry, aging, injury, and what it means to be family, written and performed by people with extensive experience in these areas. The ending is so touching and surprising, it will leave you feeling warm and appreciative of those around you. There is something in this movie for everyone. Watch it!
To start with, I don't quite understand why this movie has such a low rating. I started watching it mainly in the background because I'm an aerialist myself and was curious about the movie, but the low rating put me kinda off. But I ended it up being glued to the screen. It's a good movie, with nice choreos, enough drama and a very sweet end.
If you're into action stuff, it's not for you. But if you're in the arts industry (and of an age 30+), I think it's certainly something you could relate to. Maybe, giving it all 10 stars is a bit of an overreaction from my side, but imho it definitely deserves more than some 5.1 stars, hence my choice.

I loved the way the rich story unfolded and wove the subplots. Exquisitely directed, edited and acted. The diverse cast is wonderful and the behind the scenes look at the pop industry is fascinating and revealing. A brilliant portrayal by Dreya Weber, who leads a family of performers threatened by greed, ageism and injury. Highly recommend to those who appreciate mature complex filmmaking.
