I'm blown away by All My Loving and feel sad for everyone involved that almost no one ended up seeing such a wonderful film. If you are patient and empathetic I can't see a way to not love it. All the performances are terrific. The script is fairly unique and the movie flows beautifully. There's many moments to remember. The ending is one of the best I've seen in a while. You can tell All My Loving was made by people who have lived. That might sound cliché, but is simply true.

A beautiful film about life with all its everyday difficulties. As a viewer, you know all the behavior you despise in others and in yourself, but you also learn (or have a feeling) why the characters behave that way: The airline pilot with hearing problems, the couple on holiday with their typically German bossy behavior, the father of three and caring son. Great actors and great script make for a moving film that keeps you thinking about it for days.

Mostly developed as three parallel films, each one about the life of one of three siblings, this is German a movie that, overcoming any genre, explores in an encompassing way the relations (including parent-children in different generations, siblings, and marriage), dysfunctionalities, hidden secrets, conflicts and accumulated dissatisfactions and resentments inside a family. All three are very well developed independent characters too, well played by the acors and actress. One more successful achievement in excellent German cinema, a film on life, birth, death and dogs. A movie portraying how family really is.
