This movie was a realistic take on every relationship that has gotten too comfortable. It takes 1 mistake, or 1 natural disaster, or 1 death or any big lifetime struggle to force 2 people to see what they have or what they want.
To see that they might already be with the person they not only want to live with but also would die for and with.
This movie was unique from the start and as it reached its conclusion I was about to write it off as just another movie. Then the last 5 minutes happened and my score went from a 5.1 to a 6.1.
Good date night movie.

This movie is not a masterpiece but it makes you think. It hits so close to home, to our patterns, to our beliefs, to our own mistakes. So I actually watched it all in one sitting not because they're the best actors or it was the best made movie - but because I could relate.
The ending was a bit strange and anti-climatic for me but I get it. I've been there (minus the nuclear war thing). I've made the same mistakes. I've blew it the same way. And when someone makes a movie that almost "understands" you, it deserves a high score.

This is one of those impending doom comedies where you, the viewer, end up being forced to root for the nuclear weapon to obliterate the vapid, unlikeable, immoral main characters.
This movie had so much potential, but unfortunately just doesn't live up to it. Still, it was an interesting movie to watch. The two main actors were terrific, especially Sujata Day who really felt natural and a joy to watch.
I was hoping this film would be like a reverse Miracle Mile (one of my all-time favourite under-rated films), but... it isn't. The premise of an imminent nuclear strike felt like it was kind of half-heartedly interjected as an excuse for the characters to have a more intense breakup, but honestly it felt false, and I did get tired of the back and forth of the relationship.
It was also too easy to tell they had a minimal budget, as the "panic" and supposedly imminent nuke scenes were just.... yeah, not there. Again, it felt fake and just an excuse for them to talk more.
The worst part was so much of it revolved around social media - yes, it's current and perhaps realistic, but it was just really annoying and unnecessary, detracting from the story rather than adding to it. There was much much more social media featured than the bare minimum "imminent death" that was promised.
In the end... it was okay. It was worth watching once, and as another reviewer said, the last 5 minutes made it interesting. I just wish they'd actually stuck to the real idea here - breaking up amidst the threat of a nuke attack - instead of all the social media stuff.

Dumbest movie I've ever wasted my time on. These idiots break up and make up 20x in an hour and a half! One says no, the other says yes, again and again. They flip flop more than Joe Biden! I stopped watching it was so annoying
