L'état sauvage

John Wayne, Randolph Scott and Clint Eastwood are screaming, " Say what?" A bunch of women that have grand illusions of being sexy and tough all at once. The dresses they wear in the western scenes are completely out of place. All of them appear to have perfect teeth, something that would have been impossible for the time period. The hair styles would have never been possible for the wilderness location they were traveling. This is just a slow boring movie. I have been watching westerns for over 65 years and this is about as bad as it gets. The scenery and cinematography are well done but the actors come across as rich folks traveling on a dude Ranch cattle drive.

As a matter of fact, this film is quiet the exact opposit: a delicate and raw masterpiece genuinely directed/photographed by a very gifted french director. And the actors are just perfect. One of the best movies by far from 2020. Not for everybody, especially not for pointless and pretentious fake profiles.

There is a good film in here, but it ultimately gets lost in the overly long run time. But yes it is a fascinating oddity: An unconventional western dominated by the desires of women. worth watching. James Welch Henderson, Arkansas 3/16/2021

For those who like westerns, this is an immersive movie. It is a film where the emotions of the actresses in particular stand out.

The story is calm, but the actors' performances are good and the immersion is high. I recommend it.
